Guidelines for Sending Demos
It’s easier for us if we can simply check out your MySpace page, but we do accept physical demos on audio CD. We do not accept any other formats. Unless we already know you, weblinks, FTP transfers or MP3s via email will be ignored.
If you do send a CD, you must remember to put your contact details on the actual disc itself. Your name and email address is all that we need, but it’s always interesting to read a short bio of the artist and brief notes about the music. Try not to send more than four or five tracks; if we want to hear more we will definately contact you.
We prefer tracks that don’t contain samples. If a track does contain a sample please indicate this on your demo. If any tracks have already been on limited release please give us details.
We do listen to all your demos. Unfortunately, we’re unable to return them so please don’t send us your original masters! And we will only reply if we like and want to release your music, so please don’t chase us for a response.
Finally, please take the time to listen to the kind of music that we release before sending us any music. We like electro, funk, new wave, Chicago house, Detroit techno, R&B and contemporary electronica. But it’s important that your music is forward-looking, so if your music is inspired by old genres it needs to also be innovative – we are looking for the pioneers of tomorrow.
