Photofriday: CurvesThis weeks entry for Photofriday,
on the topic "curves"
![]() Small sand formations on the Dune du Pila, a roughly 100 meter high, 2,000 meter long and 500 meter wide sand dune near Arcachon in France. The formations themselves are only a couple of centimeters high, though. I went there once on a camping trip and actually slept on top of the dune a couple of nights. The view of the night sky from up there is breathtaking. Because of the interesting wind currents on the dune it is also a good location to fly stunt kites. This photo was taken in Summer 2002, when I went back with my wife and parents though. If you got here through Photofriday, please check out the rest of my page as well.
