Mike M. Writes: Hey Sebastian: I saw Take Me Out last week and thought it was a good show with excellent performances. You did a great job. I was not familiar with the show prior to seeing your production. I attended the show with a friend. My friend who is white, mentioned that he bought almost everything about the show, except that he didn't believe you as African American. I am African American and until I heard that comment I thought that you were too. Black people come in so many hues that I didn't initially give a second thought to your being black. Unlike many of the people who have written, I was unfamiliar with your work, so nothing struck me as odd. In the show you were considerably darker than the other white characters, was it make up, a good tan or both? Once I visited your website and saw other pictures and learned that you are Sicilian, I saw things a bit differently although it didn't diminish my enjoyment of the play.
I am an actor myself who lives in the midwest (sorry I missed you at Taste of Chicago, my home), who has done theater but primarily works in commercials, industrials, voice overs and some print. I wonder how you came to be cast as Darren Lemming and what kind of preparation did you do? Not being African American was there any thought given to playing a character who is, or was it just a matter of an actor taking a good role. One other thing, how do you manage to keep up with all the mail you must get? I will look for a reply, much continued success.
Sebastian: Well Mike, thanks for writing in. I hate to blow your friends theory out of the water but my mother is Sicilian-American and my father is black. Yes, black. Yes, a dark skinned black man. I'm bi-racial. The articles on my site referring to my ethnicity all state that. I'm not sure how you missed it. The irony here is that when I was young and going to predominately white schools in Ohio, being black was a huge part of my identity. I was the dark kid in school. I was different from everyone. Now, as soon as I left Ohio when I was 18, suddenly it wasn't there anymore. People stopped noticing it. That is the main reason I wanted to play this part because it is the first role of its kind. A leading bi-racial man. I was astounded. I had to play it. I can only hope that more playwrights will do the same. So as far as I how I approached playing a bi-racial character, I lived it.
Keeping up with the mail is tough sometimes. But I really don't get too much. What keeps me motivated to respond is that I am honored that people take the time to write in to me. It's a privilege. The concert in Chicago was a lot of fun. Thanks Mike, good luck to you in your pursuits too.

Robert Writes: Dear Sebastian: Recently I saw you perform in "Take Me Out" at the Caldwell Theatre Company in Boca Raton, FL. I really enjoyed your performance. I collect autographs and would appreciate it if you would be so kind as to send me an autographed photograph.
A new fan.
Sebastian: Hi Robert. Thank you so much. I am honored to be added to your collection. Your photo has been mailed so you can expect it very soon. I'm glad that you liked the show.

Mel Writes: I just saw your performance in Take Me Out and really enjoyed it. You and the rest of the cast were fantastic. At the risk of being politically incorrect, do you think one of the messages in the play is that Shane Mungitt needs acceptance just as much as Darren Lemming does? Mungitt is stupid, but not malicious, and probably really didn't know any better than to say the things he said, and if Darren wants to be accepted as he is, maybe he could have shown the same courtesy to Shane? Just a thought.
Sebastian: Well I can definitely say I don't necessarily agree with all the choices Darren makes through out the course of the play but I think he makes them out of desperation. People don't always make the best decisions when they are pushed to extremes. One of the themes of the play is absolutely about acceptance. But here is where our opinions differ. I don't think the play is saying we should accept ignorance. Yes, Shane is a victim of circumstance but ignorance is intolerable. We are all equals here, regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation and bigotry, of any kind, is unacceptable. Should we accept hate because it may come from an ignorant person? I think no. Hate stemming from ignorance is the scariest kind of hate. Good question though, Mel. I think that is one of the things that is so amazing about this play. It asks a lot of questions.

Mike Writes: Dear Sebastian, Congrats on your performance in "Take Me Out". I went Sunday evening and had a great time. I'm a great fan of baseball and travel all over the country to watch baseball at different baseball parks. I'm also a great fan of the theatre. I probably go to the theatre at least once a week. (I know it's little crazy!!). For a moment I forgot I was at the theatre and not at a baseball game. That tells me the play was good when I forget where I am at. You were perfect in the role. You seem to be a cool guy.
Take care and wishing you godspeed.
Sebastian: Hey, there is nothing crazy about seeing a ton of theater. Consider yourself lucky. I wish I could see a lot more than I do. I would definitely say I am more of a baseball fan now than I was before I started working on this play. I've always liked the game but now I see it completely differently. I have really enjoyed the challenge of tackling this role and I have learned a few things from Darren.

I have never written a fan letter before, but I wanted to be sure to commend you for your topnotch acting and to tell you how incredibly handsome you are. If it's possible to send me an autographed photo, I would greatly appreciate it.
Although I believe you have been on stage for a long time, I am confident that this is just the beginning of your rising star.
Sebastian: Thank you Stephen, that's very kind of you. I'm honored that you felt compelled enough to write in. I appreciate that. I have been working in theater for a few years but I am just now starting to break out into leading roles so I too hope that this is just the beginning for me. It feels incredibly good to finally be given these opportunities to work on such great roles. Yes, it is possible to get a signed photo and it has already been sent out to you. Enjoy.

I visited your website and came across the link to request an autographed photo of you. I guess my AOL mail service is not , "set up properly" so I am sending this written request to you. I would appreciate a signed photo of you. Thank you!
Sebastian: Thanks George. We appreciate you spreading the word. I hope that the show was just as enjoyable , if not more, the second time around. The play is so rich that seeing it a second time probably revealed even more to you. I sent out a bunch a photos this week so, you can expect yours very soon.

Dan Writes: You really should add some photos to the website of Sebastian in his current role ... with all of his body hair intact! We saw him yesterday at the Caldwell in Boca Raton.
Sebastian: Hi Dave. I am working on getting some shots from the show on the site. They will be up soon. Yes, the question of my body hair seems to a popular topic. It really depends on what role I'm working on. As we all know, when the skin is smooth, it shows more muscle definition so, that's why it's done. When I was playing Rocky I had to be clean shaven. Darren Lemming is a different story.

Chuck Writes: Mr. LaCause, On behalf of thinking individuals everywhere, I want to apologize for the sheer childish arrogance of the writer who refers to himself as STUD747DAN. His negativity was unjustified, his negative comments were untrue, and his motivations were so blatantly obvious - he was vainly and foolishly attempting to lash out at his actor ex-boyfriend. Your website is excellent. I (as I'm sure most who view your website do) find your site very entertaining and informative. You're an incredible talent and an incredible physical specimen. Sharing your secrets to physical conditioning with others is not being "self-absorbed." It's actually performing a valuable public service. You handled the tackless writer with grace and dignity; while justifiably making it clear that his comments were inappropriate, you refrained from stooping to his level. For that, you are to be applauded. It saddens me that there is so much rampant negativity in the world today, and unfortunately, a disproportionate amount of it sometimes seems to stem from the gay world.
I also want to correct and apologize for an error I made in my prior correspondence with you. Your character's name in TAKE ME OUT is, of course, Darren Lemming, NOT Darrell Lemmings as I had previously stated. I knew better than that, having seen the show twice and having read the script several times. My mind and/or my typing fingers at that time were obviously having an off night.
Sebastian: Thanks Chuck. Unfortunately there are always going to be those types of individuals in the world. When I read something like that it really makes me evaluate how I treat people. I think the world has so much to offer us all and we should do our best to support each other and not fall pithy to attempts of bringing someone down to build yourself up. That is really what it comes down to. Finding that strength from within that allows you to stand on your own two feet as well as lending support to those around you. It is something I am constantly learning. It's so easy to be negative and hurtful but it requires much more endurance and smarts to find the good.
Don't worry about your spelling error. It has been corrected. It slipped by unnoticed.

Stan Writes: Hey Sebastian, I just wanted to say how funny I thought that post was from the "Stud" guy. I thought your answer was written well. And I think it's cool that you posted it. You didn't have to but you did. A lot of "famous" people with a message board or something similar have been getting rid of them altogether because of people saying things like that.
Yeah so I just thought it was funny.
I guess your run on Take Me Out is over now right? That must be hard but I am sure you are glad to be getting back to NY. It's probably not much better here. It was quite humid today. So, what's next on your agenda? OH, and someone asked you about you doing something musical. Have you ever thought of recording a CD? You have an awesome voice. I love the Rocky CD but you only have like one whole song and then bits in two other songs. I know you are probably trying to focus on theatre right now but I think it would be cool to see you put out some music! OK well hope you have a safe trip home to NY!
Sebastian: Yeah, I thought it was funny too which is why I posted it. It just proves that no matter what you are trying to do with your life or rather, what you are trying to make of your life, there will always be people that want to bring you down and who think you should be doing something different. What can you do? Keep living your life and focus on the positive. When people say negative things, nine times out of ten, it has nothing to do with you, it's about something that they need to work through and you are somehow getting the brunt of it.
TAKE ME OUT was extended for four more weeks so, I'm still in Boca. I have three more weeks to go. I have thought about recording but that's as far as its gone. I would like to one day but for now it hasn't been a priority. I at least know I could sell one CD. LOL! Thanks Stan.

Sebastian:Hi Franco, thanks for writing in. I'm glad to hear that you liked the play. There are so many issues that the play discusses and it doesn't really give you answers. It provides an incredible amount of after theater dinner conversation. What's the show and how long does it run and where? Thanks for reading.
Sebastian:Hi Matt. I know that you ended up finding the info but I thought I'd still post your question. As you now know, the play is called TAKE ME OUT and it is running now through August 15, at The Caldwell Theater in Boca Raton, not Tampa. It's a really great play about a major-league ball player that reveals to the world that he is gay. The play delves into the effect that this news has on him and the friendships that he has cultivated in his life. It's powerful and funny and poignant all at the same time. The play was on Broadway and won a couple Tony awards in 2003, including Best Play. I'm working on getting some pics but they probably won't make it up before we close in August. But I'm working on it.

Jason Writes: Hi Sebastian. I saw "Take Me Out" tonight at the Caldwell Theatre....drove all the way up from Miami. Let me tell you (and get it out of the way first).....it goes without saying that you have a face and body that most of us wish we could have! :) Your presence on the stage was absolutely captivating! Your graceful, yet strong character was exceptionally well presented.
I know you probably get thousands of compliments because of your beauty, brawn, and brains... but I just wanted to let you know that your performance (and the play in general) captivated me tonight. I'm not an easily overwhelmed individual, but I had to let you know that the performance touched me. The entire cast, especially you and "Mars" and "Kippy" were excellent. Your confidence and assuredness were evident throughout the play, and I think probably everyone envied you and wanted to BE you at some point...and I certainly identified with some of the emotions shown by "Mars."
Keep up the great work, and I hope to see you again in another play!
Sebastian: Hey Jason. Thanks for making the trip up to see us and for your kind words about the show. It's so great to hear how people are affected by the play. Its strong subject matter and powerful messages are quite a challenge for the actor. Plus the success of the Broadway production puts even more added pressure on. I wanted to find "my" Darren Lemming. I didn't want to put up a reprocessed watered down version of Daniel Sunjata's Darren. And I think the other guys in the cast felt the same way. We all worked extremely hard to develop these characters from our own truth -- that is why I think we have such a great show and one that I'm very proud to be a part of.

Veronica Writes: Hi Sebastian, I hope you're staying cool and getting audiences hot in Boca! How long will you be down there? I read the comment about the body hair...so I will add to it. Now that you have some hair going on, do you get lint in your bellybutton...it's a fascination I have. I hope everybody down there knows how lucky they are to have you!
PS What part on One Life to Live?
Sebastian: Hello Veronica. How are you? I'm doing my best to keep cool. We were extended for four weeks so I'll be down south until late August now. Yes, body hair, body hair. I can't please everyone can I. My body hair is contingent on what part I'm playing. It's an ever changing entity that will continue to surprise people over the years to come. Who knew. Uh, no. No lint. It's clean as a whistle.
On ONE LIFE, one of the contract players was apparently doing some undercover police work at a male strip club. Because, as we all know, strip clubs are fronts for questionable and/or illegal activities, I played one of the strippers that this character tries to get some information out of. I was on two episodes. They wanted to use me again but I was unavailable because of TMO.

Jeffrey Writes: Mr LaCause, I wanted to compliment you on your extraordinary performance in TMO. The 4 of us were lucky enough to be able to attend your Thursday, July 8th show. We weren't able to stay for the cast party afterwards which was disappointing. Being that we have travelled around the world a few times and being great patrons of the theatre, we were quite impressed with your stage presence and command of your character. Our wish is that your star continues to rise all the way to the Oscars so we can someday say, "I remember seeing him in Florida". Cheers and we hope you enjoy the rest of your run and stay in Boca. Hope you make it to Delray and the "Avenue".
Sebastian: Jeffrey, from your lips to God's ears. Thank you very much. I can not deny that in the deepest shadows of my heart lies the dream of winning an Oscar. I mean, come on, any actor that says they don't even fantasize about it is an absolute liar. But for now all I can do is hone my skills and focus on revving up my career to the next level. The most important ingredient for me is to be the best actor that I can be. So I'm really focused on "the work" and bringing as much of myself and as much truth as I can.
I have made to the "Avenue". Although it's actually just off the "Avenue", Da Da is my favorite spot. The food is great and I love the huge tree out front.

Brian Writes: Entertainment Weekly and some other such magazines heavily promoted "Take Me Out" when it opened on Broadway but I was never able to make it up there to catch it. Lucky for me, shortly after it closed I heard it was coming to South Florida. I see a lot of the traveling shows and I have to admit sometimes the actors are not Broadway quality. However, I saw the Saturday night show from the second row and I was completely blown away by the talent of this production. You and the guy who played Shane in particular were unbelievable. When I got home I popped in my "Chicago" DVD and there you were as Mya's husband. My question for you is which do you like better - making movies or theater? You are so talented you probably can have you pick. Good luck to you and I will follow your career with great interest.
Sebastian: Hi Brian. Thank you. Michael Polack (Shane) is quite remarkable. I have not done a lot of regional theater work so I was also a little unsure as to what I should expect. I was thrilled when I started rehearsals and I saw what I was going to be working with. The actors in this production are no joke. I feel quite privileged to have the opportunity to work with them, especially Michael Polack. He breathes incredible life into Shane.
As far as acting work is concerned, I don't really have that much film experience under my belt. I've worked in about nine films as a dancer but only in Showgirls did I have dialogue and I had no idea what the hell I was doing back then...dreadful, absolutely dreadful. Having said that I will say that I love working on films and if and when I get my way I'll be doing many more. However, theater is acting in it's rawest form. There is no hiding, no retakes and you instantly know if the work you are doing is reaching people. I will always love theater and hope that I have the career where I can not only do films but continue to work in theater as well.

Jennie Writes: Hey Sebastian -I got a little sentimental today....I went to see Rent in NYC with my friend. We met her friend who - get this - works for IGS, the company that owns the building that the Zipper is in! Saw the owner of the theater (Jonathan?) and he asked if any of us had been there before. I actually was able to say yes! He spoke highly of you. His words were something to the affect that you were playing Rocky at the time, very talented, (I added "gorgeous" which was pretty much already known) and a very nice, down-to-earth person. Any plans on coming up this way soon? Florida's a little bit of a hike.... :)
Sebastian: Hey there Jennie. Ah, The Zipper Theater. That play that I did there, KENT, CT was recently published. One of the cool things about that fact is that I'm on the page listing the original production and cast of the play. That's a first for me so, I got a kick out of it. Here's to more of that in the future! I'm only in Florida for the summer working on TAKE ME OUT. We were extended for four more weeks so, I won't return until late August. Robert Writes: Would Love an autographed photo!! Caught Sebastian in "Take Me Out" just the other night!! GREAT performance. Would enjoy seeing his musical talent sometime!!! Give him my best!!!
Sebastian: Hey Robert. Thank you. I enjoy doing musicals but I must say I'm really loving working on a play. I feel that there is something more raw about a play. You can really roll your sleeves up and get dirty. Musicals have a bad rap for being fluff. And for as many great musicals that are out there, they are a hard sell the less commercial they are. That's usually why an amazingly gritty play won't run as long as a mediocre commercial musical. I will undoubtedly do another musical but I sure as hell wouldn't mind working on a lot more plays in the future.

I wanted to know if I could request a signed photo. Also, I wanted to know how you got your start in theater and how you like South Florida.
Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.
Sebastian: Thanks Jesse. I started working in the theater when I was 11. I was born and raised in Akron, OH. Back then The Goodyear Community Theater was very hot. They were well known for their high-quality productions and high-caliber talent. I debuted in their production of CAROUSEL in the ensemble. I went on to work with them in two other shows, PETER PAN and THE MUSIC MAN. I have been hooked ever since.
I'm enjoying South Florida. I have mentioned before that it's quite hot down here in the summer. That has been my biggest adjustment. I don't really do that much exploring because the show takes a lot out of me so, I like to be well rested. But when I can I go to the beach. I love the ocean. I know, boring but I am down here to work. The best way to get a signed photo would be to send a self-addressed stamped envelope in care of me to The Caldwell Theatre, 7873 N. Chuck Writes: Mr. LaCause, I was excited to hear just today that you will be portraying Darrell Lemmings in the Florida production of TAKE ME OUT. I'm hoping to be able to get down there (from Delaware) to see it during your run. I saw the show twice in New York with Daniel Sunjata - once at the Public, then again on its final Broadway performance. Mr. Sunjata at the end of the show threw the baseball cap he had been wearing into the audience, and I was fortunate enough to have caught it. I also won Mr. O'Hare's big hand prop on Ebay, so I consider TAKE ME OUT a very lucky show for me. Once the non-professional rights become available, I will be producing a company of the show in Philadelphia through my theatre company, the Living End Theatre Company.
This fall, opening on Wednesday, September 29 and running through Sunday, October 17, the LETC will be doing the world premiere of the new stage adaptation of D. H. Lawrence's WOMEN IN LOVE. If you and a friend are able to get to Philadelphia to see the show, the two of you will be my guests.
Sebastian: Although I did not see the play while it was running at The Public, I did get the chance when it moved to Broadway. I instantly knew I had to play Darren and soon. Who would know that a year later I would get my chance? We are holding our own down here in Boca. We have an incredible cast of actors that deliver every night. This play is an actors' dream, rich characters with intelligent writing. What great memorabilia you have acquired. I wish you luck on your production.
Thank you for the invitation. Who knows where I will find myself come October but if it is in Philly I will be sure to try and come see your play.

Chad Writes: Hello Sebastian, I just wanted to write to let you know that I just saw "Take Me Out" today (Saturday matinee, 7/3/04), and how much I enjoyed the show and your performance. I had been interested in seeing the play when I heard about it and it's Tony wins, however I was unable to make it to New York before it closed. I was excited to hear from a friend that a theater in Boca got the rights to showcase it. We live in Orlando and decided to make plans to drive the 3 hours there and back to see the show. Being a gay man, I enjoy a well written show regarding homosexuality that makes one think and that encourages discussion. I was pleased to find that in the show as well as some great humor. And hey...who can complain on seeing some hot, naked men (yes, I thought you were the best) on top of serious social issues! LOL Even though you are very attractive, that's not the reason I decided to write. I truly enjoyed your performance. I'm not one to dissect an actor's decisions. I only know if actors can draw me completely into the story and character. You did that for me especially in the second act. Your fellow cast members were professionals as well. Other than yourself, Gary Cowling and Michael Shelton were standouts. Admittedly, it was a pleasant surprise to enter the theater to find out that Darren was being played by someone I sing along to in the car....Rocky. I didn't get a chance to see you in that, but I do enjoy the CD. So again...great job. I appreciated your work.
Thanks and keep up your success
Sebastian: Hey Chad. I love that you rock out to the ROCKY CD in your car! I love that. It is a great CD. Afterall, it has Daphne Rubin-Vega and Alice Ripley on it! I'm sorry that you missed that show. It was a blast. Thanks for making the trek down from Orlando and I'm glad that we made it worth your trip. It is an exceptional piece of writing that was courageous enough to delve into subject matter that had not been previously explored. That is what is exciting about the arts. It can provoke thought and instill new insight into the minds of the masses -- which is quite a powerful feat.

Sebastian: Thanks Pat. I'm happy to hear that we were able to hold your attention. We truly give a tremendous amount of ourselves to the audiences every night. We put our own lives under the microscope so that we can find a way into the minds of our characters and understand them. There is a huge amount of work that goes into developing these roles. Work that we all are extremely proud of and hopefully that will continue to grow as the play runs.

STUD747DAN Writes: Greetings. I saw your performance tonight at the Caldwell Theater with a group of friends. It's refreshing to see quality theater just a few miles from my home. My ex boyfriend is an actor, so I know the life and lifestlye of actors only too well. I know how important it is to have an impressive resume...however, I found your web site to be borderline extreme, obsessively self absorbed, self consuming and incredibly boring. Humility is the greatest attribute one can have. I doubt serious actors advertise their workout routine. Best Regards. Daniel Valdez
Sebastian: Wow. Where did that come from? Obviously someone has some serious issues with actors and feels the need to express himself by coming down on me. And I say fine, STUD, bring it on. (He doesn't know as much as he claims because as many of you know websites for actors is a growing trend in the industry.) And yes STUD, it is a tool used to promte me -- of course it's going to focus on me (what you confuse as "self-absorbed" and "self-consuming"). And who are you to judge me on humility when you sent this from an e-mail address named STUD something-something@aol. It sounds like you don't know squat about humility pal, self-righteous arrogance... maybe. And lastly, people ask how I keep in shape and what I do in the gym, "advertising" my workout routine was a no-brainer...kinda like your e-mail.
Glad you enjoyed the show. Best Regards, Sebastian

Jay Writes: I was front row center at TMO and looked up and enjoyed your stage persona and characterization of Darren...you gave his gritty-charm and macho facade your own brand of guessing....the posture, the cross, the secret, the anger, the confrontation...and even a glimmer of vulnerability. You were great as were the cast and performance this past Sunday. This new-to-South Florida former Philadelphia (with a bi-racial sister, btw) would love to have your autographed photo (can be an 8x6....!) and continue breaking legs and hearts....Sebastian LaCause!
Sebastian: Thanks Jay. I love playing Darren. He is so confident and arrogant and ambitious yet lost and searching for meaning at the same time. He's so full of contradictions. I'm still discovering things about him. It's great to be able to play that every night. It wears me out though. I get so drained by the end of the performance. It's thrilling though too, to give so much of yourself every night.

Leon Writes: My friend and I saw you in "Take Me Out," and we both agree that you were outstanding. We hope that you do more plays in our area, so that we can go see you! You are a great actor! Also, besides having a great body, you are very handsome!
Sebastian: Thanks Leon. I do hope that I get a chance to come back to South Florida. I'm having a great time working on the play and the people have been extremely welcoming and receptive to the piece. I love acting. There isn't anything else in the world that I would want to pursue. Thanks for your support. It's appreciated, greatly.

Ken Writes: Hello. My name is Ken, and I sat in the front row of this evening's (6/25) performance. I was attending the show with friends that were scattered throughout the house. I was blown out of my seat with the story, the acting, the staging, the experience. I did not really know much about the story. Yes, I heard about the bodies, the shower scenes, etc., but truthfully, a body is a body, and great acting makes a scene. You have both, and well, I cannot recall the last time that tears came to my eyes while watching live theater. After your best friend was killed by the pitch, the pain, the hurt, the guilt, the denial that you were able to display was extraordinary. I was overwhelmed. I am not asking you to send me an autographed photo. I just wanted to take this time to thank you and your co-stars for making an ordinary Friday night in my life a spectacular one. I wish I had seen you in other works....but, kudos to you and your fellow actors for the hard work, the character development and the truth that you allowed this story to tell.
Sebastian: This has been an incredible experience for me. Working on a play that is written so well is an actor's dream. Every night I am thankful that I have been given this opportunity and that I am able to do what I love. Thank you Ken. I'm glad that you enjoyed the performance.

David K. Writes: My partner and I saw "Take Me Out", Saturday night at the Caldwell Theater. I had to take a moment to tell you that it was fantastic. The play, first of all, is a magnificent piece of theater. As a gay man, who once dealt with the coming out process, naturally, it hits home....and hard. The sets, the lighting, the visuals, are all really first rate and in particular, your performance was outstanding. You were so totally believable as Darren. We were taken aback by the great acting abilities of Gary Cowling, Michael Polak, and Michael Shelton in particular, as well as the rest of the cast in general. But after all, as much of an ensemble piece as it is, it is really about you, and I had to stop and say you were terrific. I wish you well in your career, and look forward to seeing you do great things in the future.
Sincerely,
David K. (a very avid theater-goer)
Sebastian: How great it is to see ouselves reflected in art. When we can identify and relate to something it can have such a profound effect on our lives because we know that we are not alone. That there are others who share our pain and our triumphs. It can give us a sense of belonging and how wonderful is that. That is great theatre, maginificant art and music. I can't imagine life without the arts. Well, I'd be out of a job that's for sure. I'd have to sell encyclopedia's or something and that would truly suck. Yes, the guys in the show are fantastic. I'm so fortunate to have the chance to work with actors who put so much of themslves into their own work and bring a lot to the table. It is inspiring. Thank you David.

Leonard Writes: Dear Mr. LaCause, Yesterday afternoon, Sunday June 28, some friends and I, attended a performance of "Take Me Out" in Boca Raton. We were the group of guys on your right who were below seventy years of age. I never saw so many canes and walkers in my life. Aside from that, thanks for putting on a terrific show. We all enjoyed it. Your characterization of Darren Lemming was right on the mark and you were totally convincing as a "baseball god." You imbued the role with a certain swagger and panache that one normally associates with sports figures. The times when you stuffed your hands in the front of your shirts, especially the purple one, and pulled it down, the pose looked very natural. And what it does for your butt is terrific. Seriously, I do a bit of painting, so I noticed how well you could hit a pose which both conveyed the crucial elements of the character but also showed off your form so well. Perhaps, it is due to your dance training, but when you wereon that stage, you were the center of attraction. So when I went to your website, I was disappointed to discover that on your gallery page, none of the thumbnails would open to display a larger image. Hopefully, that can be fixed. In the mean time, if you want to send a signed photograph, that would be appreciated.
Thanks again for a great performance.
Sebastian: Thank you Leonard. Yes, the Florida audiences are quite particular. They love to talk out loud and shush each other, cough, they get up to use the bathroom at the most inopportune moments. But they are very appreciative and seem to really enjoy the show. Sometimes they get a little rambunctious with the nudity and it takes them a moment to settle down. It's funny. My dance training does give me an edge when using my body. I'm just connected to it in a different way than non-dancers are. I'm sorry that you weren't able to open the pictures in the gallery. It worked fine when I tried it. Perhaps you need to wait until the entire page loads before you click on a thumbnail. Sometimes that will do it. Or perhaps it may be your connection speed or a problem with the browser you are using. I'm not sure, I'm just trying to throw out solutions. If you have dial-up it can tend to be problematic. I do apologize and I will send out a signed photo for you. Thanks again.

Ron Writes: I just returned from seeing you in "Take Me Out" down in Boca Raton, Florida and wanted to write to say that you and the other members in the cast were amazing. The show itself is brilliant but can only be truly conveyed through the talents of its cast, which you and the others did so well. I was wondering what is it like to be performing in a show where you are not going back to your home every night after the performance. Even though this is not a "touring production," it still causes you to live out of a suitcase in a sense and spend a few months away from home and I was just interested about your thoughts on living and working on the road. Again, great performance!!
Sebastian: Thanks Ron. Yes, it is a brilliant play. Richard Greenburg writing is phenomenal. It's an actor's dream to work on a piece that is so well written. He creates layers upon layers of thought provoking material and gives the characters such incredible depth.
Working out of town can be challenging but also quite fun. You get to experience living in a new environment and meet new people. You are also able to catch a little break from the frantic energy of the city. Then when you return you are infused with a fresher outlook and a rush of adrenaline to synthesize yourself with your life. Of course there are downsides. You miss your friends and your loved ones. You don't have your favorite sheets or coffee mug and you can't order Chinese at midnight and have it delivered. But that is the life. I get to work on a wonderful play with incredibly strong actors so there is a trade off. And it's only temporary.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know I speak for the other actors in the community in saying that it is a pleasure to have your talent down here in Florida. Thank you for sharing your talent with the South Florida theatre community, and I wish you nothing but continued success...which you are sure to have.
Sebastian: Thank you Josh. It is great to be down in South Florida. It's really freakin' hot!!! But I'm having a good time. Thank God for air-conditioners. The audiences have really been great thus far. I hope we continue to have success with that. With any luck, the next time I get a gig in South Florida it will be in the winter. Ahhh...winter. Paul Writes: I saw TMO last night and did it make my weekend special......what a powerful performance and a great show. I''m an artist & designer from San Francisco and I'm in Boca Raton at my dad's house caring for my grandmother. My uncle invited me to a play as I've done a lot of costume work. The situation in the family is intense due to illness & he thought I could use a break...boy, i got one...thanks. Thought I'd check out your web site listed in the program & was surprised at your many accomplishments and thrilled to see you with Joan Jett-one of my all time favorites. My question is why are all the photos of you with a shaved body? When you took your shirt off I about fell outta the chair at that body that's as great as your mug. Hairy is way hotter! Just my opinion but it might help......I'll be drawing you when I return to SF next week to prepare for my next art show. Thanks for inspiring me with your beauty & performance.
Sebastian: Thank you Paul. I'm glad to hear that we were able to give you a little break from the stress of dealing with an ill family member. That is not an easy task and you should be commended for stepping up to the plate (forgive the cheesy metaphor). It reveals a lot about you as a person. Yeah, Joan Jett is a pretty cool chic. I really enjoyed working with her. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to see her again recently when I went to see my friend Daphne Ruvin-Vega in a play she was doing on Broadway called ANN IN THE TROPICS. Joan was there that night to see Daph as well so, we all went out for dinner afterwards. And yup, Joan is still cool. I'm glad to hear that I could inspire you. As for my body hair, I don't always have control over what a director or photographer will want for a part or shoot. However, I am glad that I don't have to wax or shave for this part. Good luck with your new show. I wish you much success.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pablo Writes: Sebastian, I saw Take me out last night, I have to say that I was deeply impressed by the powerful performance you delivered. As a latino, baseball is a cultural phenomenon I dont quite understand (soccer is my thing) but the play gave me a whole new point of view to understand that. The scene when you talked to your manager and Kippy at the same time on the phone, brought tears to my eyes. Your talent is inmense, and I wish my english was better, so I could express that feeling better.
Thanks for a great performance and be sure I will see the play again before July 18
Sebastian: Pablo, your English is just fine. I don't think you could have expressed it any better. Thank you. Your very kind. This is a role that I have wanted to play ever since I saw the Broadway production. I couldn't believe that I was watching a character on a Broadway stage that was written to be bi-ratial and the focal point of the story. I was flabbergasted and overjoyed. I knew that I could bring a lot to this role and I'm beyond elation that I have the opportunity to do it.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David L. Writes: I was fortunate enough to attend your opening performance as Darren in Take Me Out at the Caldwell Theatre it is a fine production well cast and beautifully played. Your Darren was riveting the well-defined path from almost godlike invulnerability to very vulnerable humanity was remarkable to experience. Thank you for an extraordinary performance. Your fellow actors were no slouches either Gary Cowling hit every note dead on in his characterization of “Mars” funny, extremely vulnerable shy and passionate at the same time. It was a joy to watch your scenes together.
Were you up for the Broadway cast? I can’t imagine any finer portrayal of Darren.
I wish you well and will now keep a watch on your career I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone so marked for that elusive title of "Star".
Sebastian: Wow. Thank you very much David. I truly appreciate your kind words. I think the best that any actor can hope for is that their work will reach someone. A lot of work goes into putting a role together. You put yourself through a rigorous self-exploration in your attempts to examine the character and bring truth to it. So when someone gets what you're doing it's the ultimate compliment. Yes, the cast is superb. The director did a fine casting job. I'm extremely proud of this production.
No, I was not up for the Broadway company. The actor who played Darren on Broadway, Daniel Sunjata, had been playing the role since its incarnation, I believe. From London, to The Public Theatre and then to Broadway. So they were never looking. Thanks again David.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sebastian La Cause Writes: I just wanted to take a moment to remember the souls lost during the attacks on The World Trade Center. It's hard to believe that a year has gone by so quickly. A year filled with fear, reflection, soul searching and a quest for answers. A year to accept that we are unlike any other nation in our vulnerability to evil. A year to become angry yet stonger. Unified in our efforts against toxic terror. yet, divided in our insidious behavior to one another. Will we ever reach the promised land of equality and peace? Will we ever rise above our differences and see the beauty in a land of abundant originality by accepting those who are not like us because of their unique views? When will our eyes be open to the infinite possibilites of truth? To think of what can be learned and taught and fortified with tolerance and acceptance, makes my heart swell and my sould sing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Taylor Writes: You have heard this before, but I applaude you for replying to all of the emails...good for you! Secondly, with all do respect, may I ask, outside of BWAYBARES and RHS, do you still wear thongs? I am embarresed for asking such a question, but my friends heard that you discussed that in an interview once...?? If I have offended you in some way, I am truly respectfuly sorry to you. But, if I haven't, would you mind sending me an autographed photo to hang on my wall (clothed please..hehe!).
Thank you Sebastian!
Sebastian: Taylor, that e-mail started off so nicely and then made a sharp left into trash-ville. I'd be embarresed to ask someone a question like that but that's just me. I'm not offended, per say, just...well, actually, I'm not even surprised. I guess when you run around on stage in a g-string, you must be prepared to answer silly questions. Shawn Writes: First I must say what a delight it is to see that you've returned to your website's Q&A section with responses. I always enjoy reading what you have to say. I read on your website that you had just finished writing a screenplay and you were throwing around ideas for a one man show. Well, I was just curious to find out more info about your projects. I think that it is a beautiful thing that you are showing the world how unlimited your potential as an artist is.
Sebastian: Thanks Shawn. I know that I was away for awhile but I guess I felt I needed a little breather. I need to feel inspired to write to people, otherwise I wouldn't be to sure about the quality of my responses. Writing the screen play has been a wonderfully freeing and inspiring and motivational experience. I've always had a knack for writing. I excelled in poetry and creative writing when I was a student. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed it. My goal is to get the film made and submit it ti film festivals. I'm developing other ideas for stories and kicking around ideas for some sort of one-man show that will include music. I'll keep everyone apprised of my progress.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael Writes: Hi I am a huge ROCKY HORROR SHOW fan... I'm 16 and I wanted to be on the show. I love Broadway, I was just wondering, how did you like being on the show and what is it that you liked most about doing the show.
Sebastian: Working on ROCKY HORROR was an amazing experience. I learned so much and was intensely inspired by the incredible group of people that I worked with every day. Equally, I would have to say that what I enjoyed most about doing the show was the infectious energy and enthousiasm of the audience. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are very talented and I look forward to your upcoming work.
Sebastian: Thanks Zach. Vin Diesal huh? I guess I can live with that. Yes, I studied dance for about 20 years, since the age of six. I started at a small tap and jazz studio, then went on to a ballet school. I studied ballet and modern, briefly, at NYU. When I moved to L.A. I took many jazz classes. I no longer take dance classes. I'm pursing solely acting now. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skip Writes: You must get a motherload of mail, so I'm not sure that you'll read this. But it makes me feel better to write it. ;-) Well, what can I say? I've seen you perform in Chicago (my absolute favorite, nothing sexier in the world) and some films. And I love you. I think you're absolutely amazing. I've read that some people have been inspired by your performing, and I just wanted to say that you should really believe it. Your performance dancing has really moved me. Truly. And I can hardly wait to see you blare out with bigger acting stuff. Hang in there. You have my support, hahaa Well, I would love to have an autographed photo of you, so that way I can make up stories that I met you and we dated or something. That was a joke. Sort of. ;-)
Incidentally, I have to ask you flat out, are you gay? I hope that doesn't offend you (because I really hate when people just spit that out at me (I am gay, by the way), I find it sort of disrespectful). I only ask because I think you are wonderful. Not just hot, but great. I think you have some real grit. A good guy. And if you are gay, then I am going to hunt you down and force you to go out with me, hehee. Well, I've said a little more than enough, I think. I'm out of here. If nothing else, I hope you found amusement in my email. Keep at it, Sebastian. You're an amazing performer. Ciao.
Sebastian: Hey Skip. I appreciate your enthousiasm and your cander, thank you. I will talk to you guys about anything, life, acting, music, politics but my personal life is personal. Whether I'm gay or straight, single, married, divorced or going through a terrible break up, my private life belongs to me and to those involved in it. I hope you can understand. Sebastian Writes: Hey Mr. Lacause, what's up? Where have you been?? Loved you so much in Rocky, been waiting for the chance to see you in something else. I also have a question about my workout routine, which was inspired (at least in part), by yours. I recently begun to work out again, and I've stuck to my routine consistently for about 5 days doing a half an hour of muscle training and a half hour of flexibility training. For two days in a row, I was unable to fais (that means "to do" in french) my workput due to the fact that American Idol is on during my regular workout hours, and I find it difficult to workout at a time that deviates from my norm. Now my morale is low. My question is: what inspires you to keep working out, when you know that you could be sitting on the couch and taking in the summer line-up, drinking beer and eating chips? And, will taking a two-day break in the middle of the week be detrimental?
Thanks, and again, love your work!
Sebastian: Well, Sebastian, What motivates me is wanting to be at the top of my game. I've always had a competetive nature. Probably because I felt that I always had to prove myself to others, when I was a kid. I looked different then everyone at my schools. I grew up in the "burbs" of Akron, OH. I was the "brown" kid. I never had many friends and I didn't have a real girlfriend until I was a senior. My desire to achieve my goals and live my dream and be the best me that I can be, is my motivation. And no, taking a two day break is not going to be detrimental. Hey, how about taping your shows?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Frank Writes: I went to go see Rocky Horror 6 times during it's run....and I miss it since it's closing. Is there any chance that any of the performances were taped for future sale on VHS or DVD like other shows are doing ?

Ginno Writes: Hey! I dont know if you rememeber me, but my name is Ginno. I dont remember if I ever e-mailed you to thank you for sending me your auutograph. if not, then THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!!!!! All my friends are jealous!!! I have a queston for you. have you ever gone down to the river banks on the fourth of July to see the Macy's fireworks? I was just there this year to see them, and boy are they amazing!!! I cant wait to see them next year!!! That wasn't what I was going to ask though. I was wondering if you've eve heard of a magazine called PAPER? I was just wondering because my father works for them. One more question, then i will leave you be. Do you know why ROCKY went off broadway? Was it because peoples contracts were up ? Can you explain? Thanx for your time.
Sebastian: Hey Ginno. I do remember your name. I have never been down to the river to see the fireworks but I have heard how great they are. Yes, I have heard of PAPER. I did a shoot for PAPER with Kate Leverling and Maxx Von Essen for their swim suit issue a couple of years ago. We were cut for a picture of Michael Beresse. Also, when ROCKY first opened, I was working with a publicist who pitched me to Mickey Boardman, one of the editors, who agreed to a feature but it never came to fruition. I don't have the greatest track record with PAPER, as you can see but I love the magazine. One day I'll be on the cover.
ROCKY closed, the first time, due to the drastic plummet in ticket sales after 9/11. It reopened for a limited run because I'm sure the producers were skeptical of the longevity of the small shows future after that. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Desiree Writes: I just wanted to thank you. I live downtown and my sister, who resides in the suburbs, met me July 2nd at the Taste of Chicago. We were excited because it was "Broadway Night" and we are huge fans of that type of music. As soon as we heard your voice, we had to stop chit chatting about the food and we just sat there completely impressed. Everyone was good but for some reason, your voice is the one we will remember most. You sounded like you were having such a good time and we appreciated it! I say "sounded" because although we could hear you perfectly, we were in the back row and couldn't really see you all that well. But after seeing your website (smart idea by the way) and reading your emails I have noticed that you seem to have an excellent disposition, regarding how much time and commitment it takes to pursue your dream. You are an excellent example of how hard work and a positive attitude can change your life. The results may not happen as quickly as you would like but the people you meet and the thrill of the moment are worth waiting for. And you know this business, "you never know who may be sitting in the audience seeing you for the first time." It's not what you know but who they know!
My sister and I wish you all the best with your career and I have a good feeling
I'll be seeing you in a movie someday and not as a bit player.
Sebastian: Desiree, thank you, thank you. That is one of the nicest compliments I have ever received. The reason being, that you loved my voice before you even knew what I looked like. That makes your comment special and very unique. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget it.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tobias Writes: I just got the pleasure of seeing you perform in BROADWAY ROCKS CHICAGO at the Taste of Chicago festival!! I went to see ROCKY twice last year in NYC, but both times you were understudied by Jonathan Sharp. He was good, but after seeing you perform tonight, I really wish I could have seen you playing the role of Rocky! Your voice is amazing, and I hope you don't mind me saying, but I was drooling all night watching you! *smile* I just recently moved to Chicago, trying to get started on my theatre career. I'm a 22 year old male, and I'm starting to get the feeling that I should just make the move to NYC instead. I'm not getting too far here. What is your advice?
Well, I just mainly wanted to say "Congrats!" on a wonderful performance tonight! I will MOST DEFINATLY keep an eye out for you in the future! And could you send me an autographed picture of your cute self? Thank you!!
Sebastian: Thanks Tobias. The advice I would give you is to try and stick it out in Chicago a little bit longer. Chicago is well respected for its theater. Do everything in your efforts to get some cresits there. Get into some great acting classes. Check out Steppen Wolf. Use your time in Chicago to hone your skills and get some working experience. You are still quite young. You have plenty of time. Then move to New York. A great career is like a fine wine. I'll get that picture out to you soon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brian Writes: I saw your performances at ROCKY HORROR and BROADWAY BARES; your last performance at BROADWAY BARES was memorable. I'd also like to thank you for autographing the calendar. It is admirable that you support such a worthy cause. After seeing these performances, I agree that you should be featured on stage and on film, and I believe this will happen in the near future. But the calendar photos prove that you are an outstanding model as well. I'm curious if you've ever done fashion or fitness modeling. If so, where could I find these publications? And your name is perfect for the marquee. What is the origin of that name, and what is the correct pronunciation? I also thought that I've seen you on a Latin soap opera or "novela," but I could be wrong. All the best.
Sebastian: Hi Brian. First off, I must say that I did not perform in BARES/A COMIC STRIP this year and I have never been on a Latin soap. I only did the ads (for BARES) and then signed the calenders the night of the event. I have never really pursued modeling. I tried putting a book together once or twice but I just never had the confidence. I never thought the pictures were good enough. I don't have the right bone structure. I used to do "Back to School" fashion shows at malls when I was a kid. Then in high school I worked with this company that did shows and "mannequin" modeling at area malls. What a trip that was. I've had one experience on the catwalk as an adult. It was during New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park a couple years ago. I was in the Tom of Finland show. That was fun. I recently did a shoot for underwear and jean packaging for a company called 2XIST. It's body only and it's suppose to be out this fall. I'd like to do more fitness modeling but my efforts are elsewhere at the moment.
My name is pronounced like "because", except with La...La Cause. It's of Siscilian origin but the spelling has been changed a couple of times. Originally it was, Li Causi (Li-cowzee).--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stan Writes: I was wondering, Do you ever go and see shows??? What have you seen? Do you have any favorites? I saw Mamma Mia two weeks ago. That was a lot of fun. I have seen about 5 shows. I even saw Carrie the musical, as in Stephen Kings Carrie. I think it was on for about a week. Seriously. I thought it was cool though. That was my first show. I think it was off-broadway. I was in 9th grade then.
How is the Disney "workshop" (is that what it's called?)coming along?
Sebastian: I actually don't get to the theater as often as I'd like to. The last show I saw was THE GRADUATE, which I really enjoyed. I don't know how the production was when it opened but I think they were unfairly slammed. I was pleasantly surprised by all the performances. Kathleen Turner was a riot. She really is a master at dry comedy. That being said, she didn't create any other dimension to her character, which resulted in a monotoned characterization. Jason Biggs was quite good but I was most impressed with Alicia. I don't think she has chosen the best projects for her since CLUELESS but I think she really shines in this production. They received a multitude if laughs throughout the show and a standing ovation to boot. I really would love to see FRANKIE AND JOHNNY-IN THE CLAIRE DE LUNE. What a great cast . I'm more interested in plays, as of late but I do like musicals. I'm looking forward to DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES. I love vampire stories. I'm a huge, nouveaux, Ann Rice fan. I read, "Blood and Gold" and "Queen of the Damned" this year. Amazing stories.
The Disney project was entitled, WHEN YOU WISH. I enjoyed working with the writer/director, Tina Landau very much. She is an extremely smart , refreshingly spiritual and funny woman. I wasn't crazy about what I did in the show. I played two different roles. Most of the players were double cast. The music was great and the story was interesting but it needed a lot more work. Working opposite Julia Murney was what I enjoyed the most.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bridget Writes: Hello! My name is Bridget and I recently saw a performance at the TASTE OF CHICAGO and I was FLOORED. First of all because you're very attractive (I'm sure you've never heard that before right?? haha) and secondly because of your amazing talent. We can only hope that you have a sparkling personality to match these other things, and it seemed to me that you did have that, from the little I saw of you. There is really no need to write me back or anything. I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with your performance. But if you feel compelled to respond (haha) you could always just write a quick email if you want, but again I'm not expecting a response at all!! I wish you luck in the future!!
Sebastian: Hey Bridget! I had such a blast at TASTE OF CHICAGO. You guys were a fun audience. Even though you weren't expecting a response, I wanted to say thanks for writing and I'm glad you liked the show.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ted Writes: Have you ever done any nude scenes? (If yes, they are, hopefully, on film and I could find them.) It seems that is a requirement for every actor. If I am to make it in this industry, should I get over feeling self-conscious and do it? With a body like yours, I'm sure it's not an issue, but some of us have flaws.
Sebastian: Sorry Ted, as to date I have not done any "nude" scenes. I don't neccessarily believe that they are a "requirement" for all actors. You can definitely set you own standards and boundries and stick to them. It's your choice. You should also keep in mind that acting is about expressing the human condition and there are varying degrees of the human condition and some of those degrees are flawed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Emanuel Writes: This is not a question. Just by reading your answers to some of the questions re your projects you sound a bit discouraged about your next job, whatever it may be. We all know things have changed since 9-11 and money is no longer as free-circulating as it once was but good elements always come on top and I am certain that with your talents, good attitude and credentials, you have a very bright future ahead of you. Best of luck anyway. Remember us when you'll be the one photographers will kill to shoot at the Oscars' VF Party ! cheers.
Sebastian: Wow. That is so nice of you. Thanks. It's difficult not to get frustrated sometimes. Especially when you're working your ass off. People tend to believe that if you star in one Broadway show you can write your own ticket. For some people it may play out like that but for the rest of us it's not so easy. It's simply another step forward down a very long, bumpy road. I'm definitely tired of waiting for calls from my agency. That is one reason I was motivated to start writing a screen play. It will all pay off one day, I'm certain. I appreciate the encouragement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nick Writes: I first became aware of you through your BROADWAY BARES appearances. Then I happened to come across your photos in GYM magazine. By the time you played Rocky, I was already a big admirer of yours. So I was very happy to find your website and now visit it often. It's really well done and a smart way to build a fan base. I appreciate the time you spend to make it so personal. I'm looking forward to CHICAGO and to seeing you "live" on stage sometime. In the meantime, I would love it if you would send me an autographed photo.
I wish you all the best and will continue to follow your career and support your work.
Sebastian: Hey Nick. Thank you. I do enjoy working on my site. I'm due for some updates though. I don't think I could have imagined the kind of e-mail response I was going to receive. I'm still surprised, especially when I receive mail, like yours, from other states. Thanks again for your comments. I'll send your pic out soon.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bryan Writes: I just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to meet you on Saturday night at Daphne's show. (I was the heavy set guy who asked for your autograph). I do want to apologize if I interrupted your conversation. I wasn't sure if you were done talking or not when I approached you. So if you weren't, I apologize :) I just didn't want to let the opportunity slip by without meeting you. Although I never got to see you in Rocky, I look forward to seeing you in future shows. Take care, and even though I have your autograph, I would love a picture. Thanks and take care.
Sebastian: Hi Bryan. Don't worry. I don't recall being interrupted. You have nothing to apologize for. I can understand seizing a moment. You picture will be sent out this week.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Patrick Writes: I was able to see The Rocky Horror Show that week but on August 16th! Jonathan Sharp was in for you. He was good and I got to meet him afterward. I DiD meet Ana before the show and she is TOTALLY CHARMING!!! I wanted to get her autograp but she just stoped to check her bag and down the esclator she went. I was able to meet Lea, as well, after ward but most of the cast disappesred. Are there 2 stagedoors one (main entrance) and another on 50th Street? Anyway I was sad it had an early closing, becasue of 9/11 but was happy it came back with AWESOME narrators through the first week of Janurury. I wanted to see Jerry Springer, Robin Leach, Gilbert, and Sally!!
My question is this...what is your reaction to the attacks of September 11? How did you feel about the affect it had on broadway shows and the economy?
Sebastian: First off, I must say that I'm sorry that I wasn't in the show when you came. Unfortunately, that was my vacation time. I'm glad you enjoyed the show with Jonathan. Yes, there are two stagedoors at Circle, so it would be difficult for you catch everyone.
I think that I share the same feelings as most of us when I say that I was devastated both emotionally and spiritually by the attacks. Our lives were changed forever that day as our vulnerability became extremely clear. How do I feel about the effects it has had on Broadway and on the amount of entertainment business that has rapidly declined in New York City? It sucks. Broadway is slowly making a resurgance but the film and television indusrty in the city is excrutiatingly slow. With the rise in corporate fall outs which seem to multiply by the minute it's a dark hour for the ethos of humanity. All I can do, is try to remain present for every moment and remain hopeful that we can rise above the pettiness that could one day, bring us to our knees. I remain opptomistic. I want to believe that we all have a future. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sean Writes: I had the opportunity to see you perform twice last year once in ROCKY HORROR and once in BROADWAY BARES ....... I was there this year but I am wrong in thinking you did not Dance this year ?
Actually the funny part was I was at the front of the line for General Admission when you walked up and into the Roseland ?
Any how I was not sure if I missed you or if you indeed were not dancing that night -
Sebastian: Hi Sean. You are not wrong. I did not perform in BARES this year. I only participated by being involved in the press photos and by signing the calenders at the front entrance the night of the event. I hope my days of running around in a g-string are over. I enjoyed being in the audience this year. It is such a great event and I relished my time up on that stage.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Karen Writes: I went to ROCKY a few times with my friend Lowell and I thought you were great. I check your site from time to time to see what you're up to. I looked at your fitness routine page, and I wonder if that works for girls.
Sebastian: Well Karen, good question. I would have to say that on a whole my routine is designed more for a man who wants to gain lean muscle and size but with a few alterations it could work for you too. I'm not in any way certified in fitness training so first I would advise you to seek the advice of a trainer at your gym. They can help you better than I could. Having someone work with you hands on is the best way to go. If you want to use my routine as a reference for structure that's fine. The main thing you want to keep in mind is that you should be using very light weights and performing sets of 15-20 repetitions. You also don't need to break down you work out into body parts. You can work a couple muscle groups a day. Just don't perform as many of the exercises that I have alotted for each muscle group. Choose two or three. I'm assuming you want to shape and tone. Make sure you do your cardio and adapt a healthy eating habit.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pgarrison Writes: Mr. LaCause, I heard from a friend that you were in the movie Sister Act II. Could you please say what part of the movie you were in. thank you.
Sebastian: I am in the opening dance sequence of SISTER ACT II. Delores, (Whoopi Goldberg) has taken her act to Las Vegas. The role the opening credits over the number, so most of the time someone's name is covering our faces. Look closely, I'm there.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jared Writes: First off, I have to say that you are such an awesome performer. Having seen you in Rocky and Chicago. You give such an energy filled performance every time you are up on that stage. I hope to be up there on day too. I have never had the chance to meet you but since I'll be in NYC for school next year I'm sure I'll meet you at one time or another. I was wondering if you could send me an autographed head shot if youever get a chance?
Sebastian: Hey Jared. Thank you so much. I love what I do. Never loose sight of what your goals are and you can acheivve anything. Good luck in school and I'm sending the picture you requested out to your MA address.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rich Writes: I first want to say you are one of finest men I've ever seen, and a body to die for. I saw Rocky Horror 2 times last year and it was just one of the best plays I've seen in along time. You were just amazing. Are you dating anyone at the present time and if you aren't, I'm available. I was at my dentist office the other day, getting a cavity filled, and he told me that the show was coming back. I went to the website, Rockyhorrorlive and it says "COMING BACK SOON". Are you aware of it and has anybody called you to come and reprise your role as Rocky?
I've read that you are doing a role for the movie Chicago. I hope the movie is better than the play..
Sebastian: I am not aware that the show is returning. Perhaps the website hadn't been updated and that was old information that your dentist saw. I do not know. I am in CHICAGO-THE MOVIE. I have a small featured non-speaking part but none the less I am in the film. I play Al Lipshitz, Mona's (played by singer Mya) lover in "The Cell Block Tango". I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the play. It is one of my favorites.
I don't answer questions about my personal life. I prefer to keep my privacy. I hope you can understand.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would have loved to have met you after the mat. showing of the last performance of Rocky (which is the one I saw) but unfortunately I was not able to. Thank you so much and I appreciate this greatly.

Jeffrey Writes: It's so great to have this oppurtunity. I know I'm just a number and that you probably recieve tons and tons of mail each week, so I'll try as hard as I can to make this email stand out. I know everybody's asking you. As of today, are their are new projects that you're working on. Did you ace any auditions. Somebody told me that you're on the cover of GQ. Is that true, because I looked at the cover and it's some nude guy, and he looks nothing like you. Any way, I'd love to hear what's going on with your career, so feel free to email me back. Nice to talk to you.
Sebastian: Hey Jeffrey. As of today the only new project that I'm working on is developing my own projects. I'm currently writing a screen play and I'm kicking around some ideas for a one-man show. I have had a few great auditions lately but nothing has come of anything just yet. No, I was not on the cover of GQ...I wish. That was a friend of mine who won that cover. They were looking for a model that would symbolize their idea of the perfect male species. He was GQ's first non-celebrity cover since 1983...pretty cool eh?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jacyln Writes: I am a huge ROCKY fan....and I thought you were outstanding in that role! And I am also a HUGE Broadway Bares fan and I have videos from 2001, and 2000 cuz I am still too young to go :( But I was wondering if you would be in it this year, because I know your RHS castmate Jon Sharp is doing it...I didn't know if you would be coming back as well! I hope you do! You bring so much sensuality and fun to that show! Hope you are well! take care, and thanks for your time!
Sebastian: Hi Jaclyn. As I'm sure you must know by now, I was not in BROADWAY BARES this year (neither was Jonanthan). I did thoroughly enjoy the past three years when I was a part of the event. I did participate in the photo shoot this year and I appeared in the ads that promoted the show as well as the calender that they put together for the event. You may still be able to purchase one through Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids. All in all, I think my days of stripping at BROADWAY BARES are over. I will never say never but I'm pretty sure. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have one problem though, and I really hope you can accomadate my need. I asked for UN-AUTOGRAPHED Photos. I really appreciate the note, but I'm not into autographs. If I have a picture that I love, I want the picture ALONE. Writing on it, just ruins it, for me. Would you please re-send the photos. I am so happy you enclosed my favorite one, the one that is on the CONTACT PAGE on your site. I must have that one UN-AUTOGRAPHED.
Sebastian: Well John, my bad. I can certainly accomadate you with an UN-AUTOGRAPHED picture but you must resend your address. I don't save all the addresses that I receive.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I followed the direction to get a signed autographed picture of you, sending the stamped envelope to the Circle on the Square Theater. I never received it. If someday, my envelope reaches you, I'm still very interested in adding you to my autograph collection. You'll be in good company, right next to Nicole Kidman, met her by accident during her Moulin Rouge promotion tour..
Sebastian: Hey what could be better than keeping Nicole company? I'm sending your picture out this week along with all the other requests that I have received over the past few months. I'm sorry about the mix up but you can expect yours very soon.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Joe Writes: Saw you on Metro TV a while ago and was impressed by your performance. As far as achieving my goal in weight training and fitness; "What do you to for your abs?" What workout and how many reps. Thanx alot. Good luck in your career and see you on the red carpet.
Sebastian: Hey Joe. Thanks. Let's see, where to begin with abs. Right now I'm trying something new. I'm doing hanging abdominal leg lifts, 3 sets of 16. Using straps that attache to a pull up bar. The first 8, I perform with my legs staright and slowly lift my legs to 90 degrees and then lower. The trick is to do them with enough intensity to keep them slow and to keep your body from swinging. Swinging...bad. The second 8, I bend my kness, slightly, and twist to each side, alternateing from the right side to the left. I also have been using the machine for the oblique muscles, 3 sets of light weight, 15-2- reps. That's it. Another trick to great abs is a lowfat diet.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lauren Writes: I have been a devoted fan of the Rocky Horror Show for some time now. I am
22 now, and have seen you in the Broadway production on two occasions, both of which I must say were amazing performances. Having been influenced by both the Rocky Horror Show and many other musicals I have been in pursuit of an acting career...which is of course much harder than I had imagined. However I did get a small break, ironically in the Long Island production of RHS. We are all very enthusiastic to be performing the B'way production. However standing in the shadow of such talented people like yourself can be intimidating, it is amazing as well. We have been lucky enough to have the actual props from the show, including the fly that you used. I know that this seems far fetched but it would be an honor to not only myself, but the other cast members as well if you could come and see it. It has been publicized in Newsday and it is an awesome show. With you and your fellow cast members from RHS to follow, how could we go wrong. You have set a new standard for musical theater...thank you.
Sebastian: I am sorry that I was not able to attend one of your performances of RH. I do hope that your cast had as much fun as we did. An acting career is definitely one with many obstacles. I must congratulate you on your achievement. Stay focused on your goals and dont loose sight of what you want to achieve. And no matter how difficult it may get, don't ever stop believing in yourself. The work will come...it always does.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sebastian: Hi Samantha. CHICAGO is slated to hit theaters on Christmas Day. Of course it's my butt! Whoelse's would it be. I can't say whether you will or will not see more of my butt. My crystal ball is on the fritz.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Willa Writes: You were absolutely wonderful as Rocky in Rocky but I wanted to mention that I also got the great chance to see you a few years ago in Chita's, ALL THAT JAZZ tour and you were wonderful there! It was great to look at the two playbills of Rocky and Chita and see the different pictures and biographies etc.. Thanks for the momorable performances, you are so talented.
I was wondering if you ever tried playing one of the other parts in Rocky? Just wondering. Also I've read many of these questions and answers and just wanted to comment that you seem like such a nice person, you seem so friendly and it makes the atmosphere here on your website so great. Thanks so much and best wishes always.
Sebastian: Although, I have never tried playing any of the other roles in RH, I think the only other role I would want to try would be Frank. I had such a great experience working with Chita. I love that women with all my heart. She is an amazing person. Her love of life is infectious. ALL THAT JAZZ was my second opportunity to work with her. The first time was on the first national tour of KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN.
Iam so glad you like my site! Thank you fro your comment. By the way, your autographed picture is in the mail. Thanks for your patience.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eli Writes: Sebastian, you rarely mention your work in the Paul Verhoeven film (one of my very favorites) "Showgirls" - I think you were one of the dancers in the "Volcano" dance production number at the casino. (My intended porn name -one should always have one's porn name ready when that tempting offer comes to make triple-XXX videos - will be "Nemo Malone" in honor of the heroine of that film) Could you tell me about your work on that film, your experiences on the set and how it was to work with Gina Gershon and Elizabeth Berkley?
Sebastian: Along with my dancing duties on that project which included not only the "Volcano" number but also "S&M" and the partnering one, the name of which escapes me at the moment but if you are a SHOWGIRLS fan, than you will know what I mean when I say, the number where the girl throws the "marbles", I also had a very bit speaking role. I played Sal. I had a couple of lines in some of the backstage scenes. I had an absolute blast working on that movie. It was the biggest dance job that year. Whoever booked it would stand to make a substantial amount of change, so the audition was a mob scene. Every dancer in L.A. showed up. The choreographer, Marguerite Derricks is known for her difficult and unique style and the audition didn't fall short of our expectations. Once it was cast, Marguerite had managed to assemble one of the most talented group of dancers I would ever work with. Plus, most of us knew each other from previous jobs so, being able to work with people you liked and respected only made it better. I only have good memmories from that job. Gina Gershon was a class act. She was a constant professional and was always willing to have fun. Elizabeth was also very sweet. Since she was in every scene, we didn't spend as much time with her. She was very willing to do whatever it took to do her best.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sheryl Writes: Hi! I first want to say that I am a HUGE fan. I think that you have an amazing voice and an amazing body. I am an obsessed Rocky Horror fan, and I listen to you on the CD every night before I go to sleep. My question is, how did you get onto Broadway? I am a dancer and it would be my dream come true to just tryout for a show. What do you have to do to get an audition, and how can someone prepare themselves for it? Were you nervous? Thanks so much!
I love you!!!!!!
Sebastian: Hi Sheryl. Well I began my quest to get into a Broadway show when I was 13. I had made my first trip to Manhattan to visit my uncles and saw my first Broadway show, which was the original production of 42nd STREET. I moved to the city to attend NYU as a dance major right after high school. I feverishly began auditioning. I landed my first job when I was 19. It wasn't Broadway but I didn't care. I was off to Europe to play Pepe and understudy Bernardo in a bus and truck production of West Side Story. After the tour ended I returned to New York but wasn't having much luck. I ended up finding my way to L.A. where, subsequently, I got an agent and my dance career flourished. In 1997, when I was 26, I auditioned for the revival of Once Upon A Mattress which was slated to star Sarah Jessica Parker. By this point I had been working non stop as one of L.A.'s top dancers since 1993, so I wasn't nervous. I booked the show and made my Broadway debut. Ironically, I had to move to the West Coast to win my first show. What I suggest for you is , if you live in New York, start buying Backstage every week. It is a weekly trade publication that gives the breakdowns of most of the shows auditioning in New York. Start going to as many as you can. Asa dancer, an agent isn't mandatory. The only way to prepare yourself is to get good dance training. Learning to deal with rejection is the most difficult aspect. It's never easy. You just take it day by day and believe in yourself and follow your dream.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jennie Writes: First off, the last last last show of RHS was AMAZING! It was my 5th and my Mom's 1st. She liked the movie, but didn't believe anything I tried to tell her about the show until I brought her. Now she regrets not having gone sooner! She did agree with me that you are the perfect Rocky!
Now, my question to you is this. I see you say you don't have any future projects coming up, but I was wondering if you are doing Broadway Bares again. Some friends of mine and I are planning on going, and seeing you would be an added bonus!
Sebastian: Hi Jennie. Since my last e-mail updates last month I have started rehearsals for the workshop of the new Disney musical, When You Wish, starring Faith Prince and Douglas Sills. The project is written and directed by Tina Landau. Basically, Disney Theatricals gave Tina the catalouge of Disney music and gave her free reign to create a show. The idea was to deconstruct the songs and emphasize the humanity in the lyrics. To break through the wall of preconception that is put up when one thinks of Disney music. Not an easy task considering all that saccharin sweet idealism. It is not a review but a story about growing up and making choices. The story follows the lives of a brother and sister. I play the role of Roger. He is the boyfriend of the sister, played by Julia Murney, during adulthood. It is not a huge role but a good one. This leads me to your question about Broadway Bares. I had contemplated the idea of solely being an audience member this year. I have performed in the last three BB and I felt it was time for me to step out of that light. Apparently, the Universe felt the same way. With my rehearsals for When You Wish, I am unable to participate in this years Broadway Bares. I will only be appearing in the audience.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saket Writes: Hey, Sebastian! Loved you sooo much in Rocky! I was just thinking, have you ever thought of making a workout video or book? You have such an amazing, beautiful body! Can't wait to see you in Chicago!
Sebastian: Hmmmm...a workout book or video? Actually, no, I haven't thought about that. I don't really consider myself a fitness guru. I try to eat right, which doesn't always happen and I hit the gym 5 days a week. My focus is on acting, voice lessons and writing lately. I want to give myself over fully to these tasks. I will put that idea on the back burner though. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be buying, "Sebastian's Guide to a Better Bod".--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Al Writes: Sebastian, what's up? Just wanted to wish you good luck with your career. You have always been great in everything you have done. I also had a question about your answer to the question about Keno in The Full Monty. I found it interesting that you were initially cast as Keno because I was thinking you could do that role as well...a lot of people seem to group you and Denis Jones together for some reason. Maybe because you are both generally Broadway Bares leading men? Did you have to audition for Keno or was it just offered to you? Also, was there a particular reason you chose not to do Keno...I mean, it is a role with a significant amount of speaking lines (which you had said you were looking for in a role instead of chorus parts), probably as many as Rocky if not more. They're also sort of similar roles (both musclemen who are almost naked a good amount of the time). Was it just the history that Rocky Horror carried with it that made it a better choice? Or was there something in particular about Keno that you think would actually affect your career in a negative way? Just interested in what makes a successful actor take or reject roles (since i always seem to make the wrong decisions...lol). Can't wait to see you in something new!
Sebastian: Hey Al! Yes, I did have to audition for The Full Monty. I wish I was being offered roles but I'm not quite at that level in the game yet. Jerry Mitchell, the choreographer, whom I had worked with on Broadway Bares , was instumental in getting me cast for that. The reason I ended up passing on that project was for the simple fact that, although Keno is a role, contractually it is considered featured ensemble. Because I had made the decision to take my career in a new direction I needed my next project to offer something more. Fortunately, I was able to find that in Rocky Horror and once again, Jerry was on the creative team. RH offered not only a principle contract, as one of the leading players, and a starring billing, plus publicity opportunities but also a song which then afforded me the chance to sing a track on the cast recording. I never felt that playing Keno would have a negative affect on my career. I wanted to do what I felt was right for me. And I think it worked out in the best way for both Denis and myself. When I saw Denis in the show, I thought he made a perfect Keno. When it comes to making decisions in your career, I think the best way to approach them is by first looking at your bigger picture. Make decisions that lead you in the direction in which you want to go. If you want to start doing pricciple roles, stop doing ensemble parts. I don't want to get myself in trouble here because you never know what the future has in store for you but that is one of the challenges ensemble actors face when they want to break out of the chorus. What are you willing to risk? I'm willing to not work until I am able carve out a space for myself in the principle arena. The transitional phase is long and slow. You have to say "No", a lot before people start to take you seriously and say, "Ok, he's serious. He doesn't want chorus anymore. Let's see what he has to offer." Meanwhile, I'm busting my ass in acting class, trying to "get out of my way" amd taking voice lessons so, when the time comes I have something to bring to the table.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adam Writes: I went to new york and saw rocky, you were excellent and now the show is closed and i wanted to go again but i guess it is to late...Do you know if the show will re-open or is it over for good? I heard that it was reopening in october and I hope you will do it if it does..can I ask how old you are and what your birthday is, just because you are one of my favorite actors..you are great and I was wondering if you could tell what you have in mind for next time..
Sebastian: Hey Adam! Sorry buddy, but I don't think that Rocky Horror is going to reopen. At least you had the chance to see it once. That is definitely a good thing! Of course you can ask how old I am. I turned 31 on January 8th. That makes me a Capricorn. We are very goal oriented and we like to be in charge.I don't know what I'm doing next but I'm looking hard.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eli Writes: I just read the Q&A section on your website and got the answers to why you stopped being blond, also that you are going into more acting and that you are in the film of "Chicago" - no need to bother with my previous e-mail. When is the "Chicago" movie due in the theaters? Also, who did the choreography for the film? You should consider going for the role Denis Jones (also from "Chicago") is doing in "The Full Monty".
Sebastian: Hey Eli. Cool name. Chicago is due out this Christmas and Rob Marshal, the director, is also the choreographer. He is pulling double duty. What I've seen looks absolutely amazing! It's funny that you mention the role that Denis is doing in The Full Monty because it brings up an interesting discussion concerning choices and fate. I was cast as Keno orriginally but turned down the role. I was making the choice of wanting to be considered for principle roles and I felt Keno was not a step in the direction that I wanted to go. Lo' and behold several months later I am cast as Rocky.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kenny Writes: Hey. I have been in and out of New York quite often in the past couple months and was able to se you perform the part of Rocky in Rocky Horror. Since the age of ten, I've been a Rocky Horror Addict (I'm almost 16 now). I have to admit that ten years old is a bit young to be into Roacky Horror, but that was when I first saw the movie and I've been hooked ever since. Let's just say that I absolutely loved you in the show, and I've talked to other members of the cast also just to say that you were all great. I was just wondereing if you are planning on doing anything new now that Rocky is over or if you are waiting for an oppurtunity to arise. Well, good luck with whatever you are planning to do in the future. Thanx.
Sebastian: Hi Kenny! I am definitely planning on doing something new after RH but what that is, well, I just don't know yet. Hopefully an opportunity will present itself soon. I'm glad that you liked the show and I'll be sending you the picture that you requested. Take care.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Allan Writes: After seeing ROCKY HORROR, figured I'd give your workout routine a shot and-- so far -- things are going well (although a bit sore). If you don't mind my asking -- and admitting I'll need to build up to it -- what do you do for your abs routine?
Wishing you the best in CHICAGO and your other endeavors. Thanks in advance.....
Sebastian: Hey there Allan. I guess I made a huge mistake by excluding my ab routine from my workout page. It's one of the most frequently asked questions. The reason for its ommission was simple. Describing an ab routine can be lengthy and often confusing without the aid of photos. So, I have been giving tips instead. I trust that will suffice. I first start off by saying that a change in eating habits will go along way. Then I refer them to the article in Backstage that is on my recent press page. It will offer some good diet tips. Once that is done , I suggest breaking down your abdominals into the three sections, upper, lower and obliques. What you want to do, is work your abs like you work the other muscles in your body, with slow intense concentrated repetitions. I prefer doing 2 or 3 sets of 15 reps, in this fashion, rather than 100 or 200 fast paced crunches.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pete Writes: A few years ago I became a bit lightheaded upon seeing some photos of Broadway dancers in a exercise/gym magazine. One of them - a dark guy with 5 o'clock shadow - was particularly striking. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled on your Website and discovered that that guy was the same one playing Rocky in the revivial of RHS. Even though I had scrutinized the photos in the cd booklet, I never made the connection - which I'm sure you'll agree is understandable.
Your Website is very impressive: it's very appealing to the eye, beautifully laid out, and easy to navigate. The thing that impresses me most, though, is your patience and thoughtfulness in replying to the people who have written to you. (Some of the questions boggle my mind!) If you're only half as nice as you come across here, you must be a swell guy.
Unfortunately, I have not had the pleasure of seeing you perform in person. However, I've seen a couple of the Broadway Bares tapes and have been sufficiently impressed that I'm even sadder now not to have seen you in RHS. (I may go rent Showgirls, too!) I'm really looking forward to the movie of Chicago, and I wish you luck in whatever endeavor comes next.
Sebastian: Thanks Pete! Yes, I can see why you didn't make the connection. The blond hair and the vacant "Rocky" expression on my face doesn't coordinate with the smoldering snear from the Gym Magazine layout. Understandable. I enjoy answering the mail. Although, I sometimes fall behind on keeping it updated. I'm sure most of the fans would appreciate a bit more hastiness. I'm doing my best though. It's a much bigger undertaking than I had orriginally anticipated. I guess that's a good thing though.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

T.J. Writes: I had the fortunate opportunity to be able to see Rocky twice in 2001. I am 15 and for me it is an amazing experience(as it is for so many)! I enjoy meeting cast members afterwards and saying hi. I too hope one day that I can walk out of the stage door and see all those smiling faces. I still have a few years left, but I hope to attend NYU for college. What I wanted to ask you is, besides your GPA etc, is there any specific way a student has to be excepted into Tish? I hope I don't sound too stupid and clueless, but I would like to know the process. Anyway, I really enjoy acting and am currently studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, which is a great technique. So, when you get the time, I look forward to your reply. My sincerest respect to you for your abbility to share your talents and your inspiration with so many. Thank you Sebastian!
Sebastian: Hey T.J.! If you follow your instincts and believe in yourself you'll be greeting those smilimg faces too. Believing you can acheive your goals is half the battle. We are all our own worst critics. Although I was in the dance department at Tisch, I believe an audition is part of the addmissions process. I had to fly in to the city from my hometown to attend an audition for the dance program. I would assume it would be the same for the drama department. I'm sure your guidance counselor at school or someone from the Tisch addmissions department can help you answer that better than I can. You sound like you are on the right path. Stay true to yourself and try to be the best that you can be. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Naomi Writes: I was very happy to receive a response from you. So, are you currently in the process of filming, "Chicago"? I look forward to seeing the film when it comes out. I saw Chicago on broadway 2 years ago, and I really enjoyed it. Do you prefer to perform infront of a live audience or on film? I'm hoping to audition this summer for a show near my home in New Jersey. I miss performing...there's no better feeling then when being on stage. I would also like to take more dance classes in the city. I've gone to STEPS and Broadway Dance Center....do you have any others to recommend? Keep us all informed about the next show you appear in....my friends and I are loyal fans. [:)] Best of luck with CHICAGO! Take Care!
Sincerely,
Naomi (AKA- the blonde girl waving from the taxi) (LOL...just so u remember me!)
Sebastian: Hey blonde girl waving from the taxi! I love live theater. It's so electric and immediate. I know I will always love theater. Film acting is a whole different ballgame and I am eager to experience that, so I can actually form an opinion about how it feels to to do it. Although I haven't been in dance class in quite some time, Steps and Bradway Dance are excellent choices. I would maybe look into classes at Alvin Ailey. That is one place where I would have loved to study. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Paul Writes: My boyfriend took me to see Rocky Horror Live for my birthday in July. It was my first experience with a Broadway play. And i just loved you as "Rocky". Was that your first time on stage and if not, what else have you done (movies, tv, stage)?
Sebastian: Hi Paul. No, it was not my first time on stage. It was my first time starring in a show though. I've been performing since I was 6 years old. For the past ten years I worked in the industry as a dancer, primarily in L.A. I worked for many artist including, Madonna, Prince and Toni Braxton. I performed on various television shows like, The Academy Awards, The Billboard Awards and The VH-1 Fashin Awards, The Jackson Familt Honors and Tracey Takes On. I worked on about ten films including, Showgirls, Boogie Nights, Eraser, Lord of Illussions, Scream II and Sisiter Act II. I was in choreographed dance sequences in those movies and if you blink you might miss me. I also have done my share of ensemble work on Broadway, in such shows as, Kiss of the Spiderwomen (1st Nat'l Tour with Chita), Once Upon a Mattress with Sara Jessica Parker, Chicago with Bebe Neuwrith and Minnelli on Minnelli with Liza. I had a very extensive dance career but found myself wanting to futher extend myself into acting. Making the transition from dancer to actor is tricky because the indusrty likes to keep you in little boxes. When you try to break out of that box, it's like starting from scratch. My dance career doesn't hold much weight in the acting world. So, here I am today with one starring role under belt and diligently pursuing more work as an actor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jasmine Writes: Hey I loved you in Rocky when a saw it about a year ago and I finally got the courage to as you these 3 things, becasue i am in love with you, I think your amazing and handsom and I wanan lick you all over. So here are the questions
1.)Would you ever consider dating an 18 year old?
2.Are you good in bed?
3. How big is your man-hood?
Love you Tons,
Gia (better know as Jasmine to her friends, So you can
call me Jasmine Seb)
Smooches!
Sebastian: Easy Girl...Easy! If there ever was a line to cross, I think you just crossed it. I appreciate your enthousiasm, I really do. It's very flattering but I can't possibly answer those questions. I hope you understand.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shawn Writes: Geez! I feel like I write you every month or so. No, I sent an email a few months ago saying that I saw you on Saturday Night Live in the Donatella Versace sketch. I was so excited to finally show my roommates who I've been raving about since I saw you in "Rocky" last March. Anyways, I just wanted to say congratulations on the Chicago role. I look forward to seeing it. I have two questions for you: What's life after Rocky like for you? and, I know you are probably tired of getting questions about workout tips but I'm in desperate need. I am having trouble toning up my midsection, especially my love handles, lower back muscles, and abs. What do you suggest?
Sebastian, I thank you in advance for your response. I know I've said this before, but it means so much to me to be able to communicate with such an incredible performer and person. It motivates me to stay grounded and I appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks so much!!!
Your fan in TN
Sebastian: Hi Shawn! Life after Rocky has been very slow. I wish that I had more to report. RH was my first break into leading roles. Sometimes it takes more than one role to really get your career going. So until another break comes along I dive in, feet first, into my acting class and do what I can do, to become a better actor. And I bug my agent a lot. Now, about your midsection. This area is very temperamental and responds the best to healthy eating habits in combination with exercise. What you're eating, makes a huge difference in toning up your midsection. Read the article from Backstage on my recent press page. It will give you an idea of the foods that might help you shed some of that unwanted fat. Also, try to incorporate an abdominal routine that hits each section of your abs, upper, lower and your obliques. Integrate slow concentrated repetitions, holding for a count of 2 or 3, instead of short quick movements. Go for 2 or 3 sets of 15 or 20 instead of battleling through 100 crunches. But remember, do them with intensity and concentration.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scott Writes: Have to tell you that I really was looking forward to seeing you perform in Rocky this last summer. However, that was over the 4th of July and you as well as Jarrod (an old friend of mine) were both out! Oh well, I've grown to lust over you from afar (SMILE)! Thanks for all your work with BCEFA - my little theatre also works with them and tries to support in our own way. At any rate, I am the founder and director of the dinner theatre here in Boise called Knock 'em Dead and would love to get a photo of you for our theatre lobby (as well as one of you in that bikini for me to hang at home). If you ever get out to Boise, please drop in, you'll always have a comp ticket awaiting you at the door. And if life ever gets quiet for you and you want a little time away from the rat race. You can come play Che for us in Evita. We're thinking about opening our season with that next fall. We are basically a community theatre that is starting to pay our actors, you won't get rich, but I gurantee you'll have a great time!
Thanks again, and if you'll tell me where to send the envelopes now that Rocky has closed, I would love to get a couple photos from you. Hope all is well and that the next great role will be coming soon!
Sebastian: Hello Scott. Bummer! Sorry about the July 4th episode. Talk about a "double whammy!" Your theater sounds great and at the rate I'm going so far this year, I might take you up on that offer to play Che. I'll keep you posted. I'm just glad someone wants to give me a job! Thanks, I needed that.I don't have copies of any of the pictures of me in my bikini but I'll get some photos out to you a soon as I can.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Katy Writes: Hey Sebastian! It was great to have you at Falls last month. Thank you so much for the dance workshop you did with the M's- it was really helpful. Hard to believe you came from a small town like this, huh? Well, at least it's nice that you remember home a little! [:)] We're proud to have someone like you as an alumni! Good luck in everything you do.
Sebastian: Hi Katy! It's always weird going back to Ohio. So much history. Its soil saturates my bones and yet it feels like foreign territory when I return. I had a decent time at Falls High. Thanks God for Mrs. Wilkens and the vocal music department! It was my haven. I had already been to NYC a few times by the time I had started high school so, I was totally obsessed with getting out before I even got there. If I had had my way I would have moved to New York and lived with my uncles and gone to the High School of the Performing Arts. That was my fantasy from the age of 13 when I took my first trip to New York. I felt as if I had discovered a lost Utopia filled with great smells and loud noises and an intense energy that you could feel with your fingertips. However, that was not my destiny. I would also have missed out on everything that I reaped from Ohio and that is irraplaceable. I'm glad you enjoyed the workshop. I always find working with the M's very satisfying. Don't worry, I'd never forget where I came from.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zac Writes: Hello, My name is Zac Housel and like many other people, my life's dream is to be on Broadway. I am a huge fan of your's. Your voice on the Rocky CD is just great (but i am sure you hear this over and over so i'll cut to the chase). What is your advice to kids like me? You are incredibly talented and oh so gorgeous, but what do you do to prepare for an audition? Were you in many productions as a teenager?
Sebastian: Hey Zac! Thanks for your comment. I appreciate hearing that whenever I can. I started auditioning for shows when I was about 8 or 9. My first audition was for the musical Oliver at The Kennly Players in Akron. I was petrified. I didn't get it. My initiation into the world of rejection had begun...and I was hooked. By the time I was 16 I had become a veteran performer at the Goodyear Community Theater in Akron. I auditioned for every show that I could. It was a great place to learn the ins and outs of theater. My advice to kids like you is to never give up on your dream. Whatever that may be. Live it fully! Study intensely and map out a plan of action. If your dream is to be on Broadway then eventually you are going to have to get yourself to New York. Perhaps you should look into colleges that are in the tri-state area. If college is not in your future than get yourself to New York, find a good acting class, find a voice teacher, get a good headshot, your weekly Backstage newspaper, a thick skin and start auditioning for everything! Be patient. Give yourself time to get established. And don't take anything personally. More aften than not, it's about a look, not talent. Above all, I would say to train yourself agressively in acting as well as voice and dance. The more skills you have, the more job opportunities that will be afforded to you. Good luck!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Becca Writes: Hey, i saw ur show and it was soooo ausome. i saw the second to last show, it was so kewl but how was working with every one else, was it fun? well have a nice life . ur biggest rocky fan!
p.s. did u like rocky horror the movie?
Sebastian: Hey Becca! We had the best cast. I made some really great friends. It was an absolute thrill to work along side some of Broadway's heavy hitters. Plus they were all so talented! Everyone on that stage was a star in their own right. We all shared in something very special and I was honored to be a part of it.I was a fan of the movie. I wasn't a wild enthousiast but I enjoyed the film. I had only actually been to see it at the theater twice. Once was in high school back in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and the other time was during our rehearsals for RH, the cast went to see it downtown in the East Village. That was a fun time!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bruce Writes: Read your bio on line and noticed that you studied acting at Stella Adler. Was this while you were at NYU? I graduated from NYU School of the Arts (before it was Tisch) and also studied at the Adler studio while I was in the Undergrad Drama Department. What did you think of the Adler Technique? Also, the casting agent for Rocky Horror was one of my classmates at NYU.
What are your future plans? I enjoyed seeing you in Rocky and look forward with much anticipation to your career. It certainly seems bright.
Sebastian: Hi Bruce. For the brief moment that I studied at Tisch, I was in the dance department. If I had only been aware of the fruits that were available to me at Tisch I might have discovered acting many years earlier but alas, that was not my road to travel. I didn't study at Stella Adler until recently. I took a Shakespeare class with a brilliant teacher named Jed Diamond. He turned me on to those wonderful words. I didn't study Stella's acting technique so I'm afraid I can't comment on that. I've been studying at a great school for the past couple of years. I managed to find this amazing teacher whom I completely get. He has made acting this exciting adventure filled with self discovery and exploration. It is thrilling to get questions from people regarding my future. It still awes me that I have made such an impact on people. I wish I had better answers for you all. Unfortunately, for me, one show does not a star make. At least not in the eyes of the indusrty. I'm an out of work actor auditioning and taking class. That's the simple truth.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Connie Writes: Hey,saw you several times in Rocky, and you are awesome! I am looking forward to seeing you again in Chicago, but besides that, what are you doing next? Also, where does one get an autographed photo of you, now that you are no longer in the show? thanks!
Sebastian: Hi Connie. I wish I had a much more glamorous answer for you but I'm back pounding the pavement looking for work like all the other unemployed actors in the city. The life of an actor, one minute you're getting standing ovations, the next you're standing in the unemployment line. I wouldn't have it any other way though. I am fortunate to do what I do. It's a tough road somethimes. There are obstacles around every corner and sometimes you find yourself under clouds of doubt. But if it's what you are meant to do, you will always find a way out of the clouds and into the light.Send me your address and I'll get a photo out to you. Thanks.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You and Jonathan Sharp were the best! :) You guys are definatley my favorites.. you 2 were the reason i begged my sister to take me to see RH again! i even offered to pay for the tickets.. (bein 15 and not havin much money.. that's goin far to go to a show i've seen already.. but i just had to see it again!) i got your autograph once after the 2nd time i saw the show but i left it on the train when i was coming home :( i was so pissed off! anyway.. i want your autograph again.. but would i still send the envelope to circle in the square theatre.. your not there anymore.. i'm a lil confused as to where to send it. if i cant get an autograph no biggie.. i just want to let you know i thought u were awesome in rocky and good luck in the future.. :)
Sebastian: Thanks Jessica! Yeah, that does suck! I'm sorry that you lost the autograph. Of course you can get another one. Just send me your address and I'll get something out to you as soon as I can. I understand what you mean about the show. It can get a little addictive. People had so much fun. That show struck a chord with audience members. It spoke to them. It was either nostalgic, in the sense that, it transported them back to their care free youth or it empowered those who felt they were a little odd themslves. And then there were those who simply loved the music. It was truly a unique theatrical experience! I'm glad you made the effort to come back. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael Roselli Writes: I am absoloutly going through Rocky with-drawl!!!!! BRING BACK ROCKY!!!!! Is there any chance of it coming back?!?! I really miss the show! You do the best version of Sword of Damoclese and Rose Tint My World that I have ever heard, and I am an avid RHS/RHPS fan! I am really looking foward to seeing you in Chicago! Is there an offical relese date yet? When will we see the trailer or poster? Also, what projects do you have lined up after the Chicago movie? I thank you and the entire RHS cast for giving so much joy to me, my friends, and the other millions of people! Thanx!
Sebastian: Hey Michael! I think RH has had its run, man. I don't anticipate the show making any kind of resurgance. Thanks, though. I loved singing those songs. The Chicago movie is slated to be released on Christmas day of this year. No word as to when they will start running a trailer. I did get a chance to see the eight minute promotional trailer the last time I was up in Toronto. The movie looks incredible! I don't have anything lined up after Chicago. It's acting class and auditioning time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

John Writes: What Up. This is John writing you. I just was curious to know what you were doing in your career now that Rocky's unfortunatly closed. Got any good auditions lately. How's life treating you.
Sebastian: Hey John! I'm focusing right now on my acting class. I've thrown myself into that lately. Any opportunity to act is good. Any opportunity to improve your skills is good. I've had a few auditions. One almost landed me on a pilot for Fox but alas, I didn't get it. I was in L.A. over Oscar weekend. I was invited to the Vanity Fair party. That was amazing! I was completely overwhelmed! There were celebrities everwhere! I walked down the red carpet. I couldn't believe the amount of press that was there. Luckily there was a photographer from New York who knew me, Thank God! It only takes one. Not all of them snapped my photo but enough. It was a night I'll never forget. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also I want to know what you will be staring in next.
Sebastian: Hey Gina! Unfortunately, I think that RH has had it's final day. We had it twice actually. I don't think it will be coming back. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I don't know yet what I will be doing next. I'm still looking for that next project.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael Writes: Great website, especially the workout page. Can I ask for some free advice? I'm 34, 6'5", 255 pounds. Sounds good, but I've got most of my weight in my midsection and chest, and have trouble developing my shoulders and arms, both of which seem too small for the rest of my body. My goal is to get to a point where everything looks in proportion.
Any advice?
Sebastian: The best advice that I can give you is start doing more cardio, eat a healthier diet and continue your workouts with intensity and you'll get there. It takes time. Maybe you should consult a trainer. They could better asses your predicament. I know it cost a little money but it would be worth it in the long run. They can help you establish a program that will get you to where you want to be. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Iñigo Writes: I saw your amazing performance as Rocky when RHS was still in previews. Now that it has closed I can only hope you will not make us wait too long for a new stage role, as it is clear you have shown your star quality. Best luck.
Sebastian: Hello Iñigo! I appreciate the fact that you saw the show so early on in it's developement and still hold my performance in high regard. I grew so much as the run progressed and my performance became much richer and fuller. I was really scared in the begining. It took me a while to figure out what the hell I was doing. Thanks again.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jeff Writes: First off I must say you were excellent in the show and I am now a life long fan of anything you do! I am a huge Rocky fan and I was wondering...Are there any little bits and pieces of the show that you were allowed to keep-like costumes? If so I would be willing to donate a large some of money to you for the charity of your choice for a shoe from one of your costumes. I know it must sound silly but I have one of Tim Curry's Sweet T shoes from the original Broadway production at the Belasco Theater. Please if there is any chance of something like this let me know. Your loyal fan
Sebastian: Hey Jeff! You are a hardcore Rocky fan dude! Tim Curry's shoe is pretty cool though. I do have a couple of peices of memmorabilia but I'm not sure I'm ready to give them up yet. I may one day. You'll have to ask again.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sebastian: Hiya Crystal! Well, right now I'm heavily into my acting class. I love it! I want to be the best actor that I can be. Other than, that I'm auditioning. I don't think the industry has realized how special I am yet. But they will! Alan Writes: Saw you in RH last April (before all the madness) and thought you and the entire cast were INCREDIBLE. I'm coming back to NY May 7-12(you know, gotta support that fantastic town & get out of the middle of Kansas for awhile) and was wondering if you are going to be in or performing in something during that time period? It would be a gas to see you perform again. Keep up the great work, and by the way your website kicks ass.
PS Saw you on SNL you were a scream!
Sebastian: Hey Alan! I'm sorry to say that I do not know what I'll be doing in May. I wiah I was booked that far in advance. I'm still scramblin trying to find that next project. The life of an actor, you know. I hope I'm doing something by then. Check my site before you come up. I must say that I couldn't take my eyes off you in the entire second act. Your body is so so beautiful. Can I say it again? I have gone to your website many times and am amazed at how many looks you have. As an actor, it is a definite plus, opening up so many different role opportunities. Your dancing is wonderful, your singing is wonderful, your body is wonderful (did I mention that before?). Anyway, I just had to tell you how much I enjoyed you in the show and will be following you throughout your career.
Best of luck!
Sebastian: Wow! What can I say, except, Thank you! I do have many different looks. I never plan that. I get bored quickly with the same look I guess....or maybe it's just a neurosis.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rich Writes: I saw you in Rocky Horror around the holidays and was amazed with the show. I was never really into the Rocky Horror movie, so it really surprised me at how much i loved and enjoyed the show and music.
Anyways, after seeing you as Rocky I am now obsessed with the goal of trying to have a body similar to yours. I have always worked out, but am now challenging myself more lifting, heavier. My question is, what type of diet do you maintain? Do you count calories, fat grams, etc... Also, what type of ab routine do you recommend? Thanks!.
Sebastian: Hey there Rich! I think the best way to experience Rocky Horror is live too! I try to maintain a diet that is high in protein and low in fat. It's pretty simple. I don't count calories but I do check fat grams. I do my best to stay away from sugars and salt. When I am being good, I eat mostly chicken, rice and vegetables. Or chicken, rice and beans works well too. Cooking at home for yourself is definitely the best way to make sure you are eating what you should be eating. Check out the article from Backstage on my recent press page. It has more information about my diet. My ab routine is also simple. I work each section of the abdominals with weights intensely. Upper and lower abdominals and side obilques. I like doing crunches slow and comcentrated. Work your abs like you work the other muscles in you body. Don't rush through 100 sit ups. Instead try 2 or 3 sets of 15 or 20, per section, but perform them slowly, holding for a count of three in the contracted posotion.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matt Asks: I was just wondering at what age did you start to work out and how long did it take to get the muscles you have? I am currently working out daily and I am 15 and I dont know how much I should do.
Sebastian: Hi Matt! Listen buddy, I started playing around with weight training when I was on my high school swim team. It was part of our training. I joined my first gym when I was 19. I didn't get serious with weight training until I was about 26. The years before that were mostly spent trying to figure out what to do and how to do it right. I basically read workout magazines or asked questions at the gym and watch other gym rats doing their routines. People, generally are willing to help you out and give advice. You are still very young and your body is still developing. I would take it easy at the gym at this point. I'm not saying you shouldn't work out. I'm simply saying start slow. Use lighter weights and do higher repetitions, about 12 to 15 per set. At your age you should be concerned with building a solid foundation and learning the proper forms. Then as you get older increase the intensity of your work outs gradually. You'll have the buff bod you want before you know it. Relax, your life is just begining. There is no rush.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heather Writes: Thank you so much for always being so kind and sweet to me all the times I met you at the stage door after Rocky! You've always been so generous with your time. I already miss the show very much but I look forward to seeing what you do next! I'm glad you were able to come back to RHS with your filming schedule. Can't wait to see you in the film version of Chicago. How was doing Seth's Chatterbox? .
Sebastian: Hello Heather! I had a blast doing Seth's Chatterbox at Don't Tell Mamma's. I ended up rescheduling for February 14th. I had a scheduling conflict with the earlier date. Seth is an extremely funny guy and very easy to talk to. We mostly chatted about the road I have taken that has led me to where I am today.....unemployment....just kidding. I brought a few video tapes from my early dancing days. One from The Britt Awards when I performed with Madonna and the other was a tape from the early nineties when I was dancing at Pleasure Island in Disney World with Cris Judd who is now married to Jennifer Lopez. I saw Cris and JLo at the Vanity Fair party in L.A. Cris was and is still a super nice guy. We chatted for a moment and he introduced me to his wife. It was kinda trippy! You know, he says, "this is my wife Jennifer" and JLo reaches out to shake my hand. We could have never imagined all those years ago when we were so young that he would end up marrying a superstar. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Melissa Writes: I wanted to thank you for being so great the whole time you were in Rocky! I miss the show already! We had some great times! And I can't wait to see you in your next project! Thank you for always being so nice to all of your fans! We'll all miss you! You are so incredibly talented!! Good luck in all you do!!
Sebastian: Thanks Melissa! You guys have been awesome too! You all made me feel special and talented and I thank you.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Graydon Asks: II was just wondering why I've heard you referred to as Sebastian Bach, first by Gerry Springer, and now pictured in the Star magazine. How confusing is this, as Sebastian Bach is a heavy metal singer .just wondering...congrats on the successful run of rocky...you were awesome...
Sebastian: Well Graydon, this is what we call bad press....no, no , no, I'm just kidding! I think when Jerry Springer referred to Sebastian Bach, he was referring to the actual Sebastian Bach of Skidrow fame in the late 80's. Sebastian played Riff Raff when RH reopened for a ten week run on Halloween in 2001. It was the first time I had ever worked with another Sebastian. When the Star magazine printed Sebastian Bach's name under a picture of me, now that was just bad journalism.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lauren Writes: I just want to tell you that you have done an amazing job in Rocky Horror!! I have seen the show numerous times and each time you blew me away!! You probably don't remember me, with so many people around every night, but I caught you the night at the closing show before you left...I was the one who went to get a picture with you and I was all ready for the pose....and I realized I was still holding my camera!! I was waiting outside so long I couldn't feel my fingers!!! Anyway...I am going to miss you in Rocky and I look forward to seeing you in the future!!! Best of luck!!
Lots of love...
Sebastian: Hey Lauren. I remember you. That was so cute. I'm sorry about your fingers though. RH was an amazing experience for many people. I'm glad to have been one of them. Thanks for all the love.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jessi Writes: I'd just like to say what a huge fan i am of you. Although i only saw rocky 5 times i thought you made the show. I was fortunate to see the last show of the first closing and then final closing show. I'm going to miss you and the show so much. good luck in all u do and i'm hoping to see you in future plays.
Sebastian: Thanks Jessi. I would have to say that seeing the show five times is pretty respectable. Our closing shows were pretty special. It's fortunate that you were able to be a part of them.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GeeLee Asks: HELLO ROCKY!!!!!!!!
Just a few words of congrats to you and the cast. I was there for the last performance on January 6th, what a great show. it was like my 6th time and every time it was better and better. I cant wait to see you in your up coming shows. Just wanted to wish you well in all you do and keep up that great body. you have a beautiful body and personality. thanks for all your time at the end of the shows sighing autographs. it really means alot to us regular everyday people.
Love from long island
Sebastian: GeeLee, you're so sweet, thank you. I was just happy to have been in the position where people liked what I was doing on stage and wanted to meet me. The rocky fans were amazing! I could never have anticipated the kind of response I would get. I was thankful for that. Signing an auotgraph or taking a picture was the least I could do. The closing show on Janusry 6th was indeed an unforgetable night. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jessica and Jennifer Ask: My sister and I were wondering how long you have had your belly button peirced and what possessed you to do so, I mean not many men have that done. We were wondering if you knew if Jonathan Sharp and John Jefferey Martin had websites and what they were. Thanks a lot.
Sebastian: Hi girls! I have had my belly button peirced for about six years. I always thought it looked extremely sexy on women. I was living in L.A. at the time and there were guys with peirced navels so, I must admit it didn't seem odd to me. I was doing a job in San Antonio Texas and I was passing a peircing joint with some friends. At the time, I was actually contemplating peircing my nipple but one of my friends went first and I chickened out and opted for the navel.Unfortunately, I am unaware of any web sites for Jonathan or Jeff.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ari Asks: If your having a bad day do you ever get self concious to go on stage? and this is s personal question but are you dating daphne rubin vega? because you said" my darling daphne" well thanks for making rocky soo cool
Sebastian: My Darling Ari. Yes, sometimes I did feel self conscience. Especially in that iddy biddy outfit that I had to wear. I felt tons of pressure to keep my body in peek physical condition. That is not an easy task, so, some days I did feel less fit than others but I had to put that out of mind and just do the show. You have to overcome those kinds of feelings or you are going to be screwed (pardon my french). But I'm human too, I have bad days just like evyone else.Daphne became a very close friend during that project. I absolutely adore her but no, I am not dating her. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Toni Asks: Hey Sebastian-Just wanted to say good job on Rocky! Now, I know this may be a little forward, but I haven't seen it anywhere-how old are you? No one has asked it (to my knowledge) and I was just curious.
Sebastian: Hi Toni. You're so polite. I appreciate that. I just turned....well not just turned anymore. I turned 31 on January 8th. That makes me a Capricorn and I'm a Gemini moon sign. Not sure what my rising sign is. I share a birthday with Elvis and David Bowie.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ginno Asks: i must say i'm very sad to see rocky leave broadway! i must also say that you were awesome as rocky! i'm fifteen, and i've been watching the rocky horror picture show since i was two years old. i'm sure you could imagine how excited i was to hear that rocky horror was gonna be on broadway. i never really liked the character rocky or the song"the sword of damocles" until i saw the broadway show. since my first time seeing the show in may, i've been in love with your character and that song, and you. your performance was outstanding, so is your body! that's not the point though. the point is that i'm jealous that you got the chance to be in a production of rocky horror, and i didn't. ever since i started getting into drama i've wanted to do a production of rocky horror. but since i'm in a school drama group that would never be allowed. so hopefully when i graduate high school and get out of college(i'm hoping to go to the american academy of dramatic arts in new york city) ill get the chance to do that. until then i'm stuck in school plays, but that's ok i still enjoy myself a lot! since last year every single school dance we've had i've made the dj play the time warp. well i'll leave you be now. love ya muchly!
your loving and devoted fan,
GINNO
Sebastian: Hey Ginno. I'm glad that you became a "Rocky fan". I actually would have to agree with you by saying that "The Sword of Damocles", was probably most people's least favorite song from the show. In the movie it isn't given as much fan fare as some of the other tunes. The fact that Peter Hinwood, the actor who played Rocky in the film, didn't actually sing the song added to its unpopularity I'm sure. He lip-synched to the voice of Richard O'Brien. Peter wasn't much of a singer nor an actor for that matter. That is also why Rocky is mute in the film. The stage version gives Rocky so much more personality, I think that's one reason why you liked me.Good luck to you. I hope you go to AMDA or wherever you may decide to go. But don't underestimate what you can learn in your high school drama department. I wouldn't trade those days for anything. You will have many opportunities to perform in your life. I think you will probably get more out of working on better material than what is in Rocky Horror but if you ever get the chance to do RH, I'm sure you'll love it.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meghan Asks: Wow! Hi! I can't believe I am writing you this e-mail! I really hope you get it and read it! Oh my gosh. Well, I just want to say that almost 1 year ago I saw you in The Rocky Horror Show Live and you SPELLBOUNDED me. I mean I've watched the movie a million times but you were so fantastic as Rocky. I mean, yea he was supposed to be an idiot, but you played him so much more than just a muscle man. You were AWSOME. (not to mention you're HOT) I thought it was also pretty funny that you went for the purple teletubbie, haha. Well, I had front row seats and I'm so glad because I got to have you practically sweat on me!! You are a fantastic singer and dancer and your acting is just superb. I wish I could have met you, o well maybe I'll catch you at a different play. I sure hope so. I truly hope that you read this e-mail and I would SO appreciate you replying to me. I love you so MUCH just for being in The Rocky Horror Show Live, your skills make me love you EVEN more! Thanks for listening!
Sebastian: Hey Meghan! Thank you! Thank you! That is so nice of you. I appreciate your comments very much. There is nothing better than hearing from someone who "gets" what your doing up there. I loved playing Rocky! And I thought he was much more than an Idiot muscle guy too. I'm glad that you say that in what I was doing. There is no better reward for an actor.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted 3/30/2002.
Jeremy Asks: I am a set and costume designer and had a front row seat for the show. You were great. I have been a fitness enthusiast for a few years, and have a pretty good physique. It is nothing like yours though! I was reading through your website and found your fitness regiment very helpful and impressive.
Any info you may have on building such a beefy yet sleek and gorgeous body would be greatly appreciated.
Sebastian: Hey Jeremy! Well, the best advice that I can give to you is to really be picky about what you eat. I know that doesn't sound fun but that is really a key factor in building lean muscle. Eating right in combination with a workout such as the one I do will get you on that raod to the body that you want. What kind of food should yoou eat? Another tough question. I can't really give you the exact diet because I am not certified to do that. All I can say is eat foods low in fat and high in protein. Watch you sugar intake and keep your carbs low. The best way to get on the right diet is to ask you doctor or find a nutritionist or research it in books. I know that is not what you want to hear but that is the best I can do. I can't tell people what they should be eating because I don't have the authority to do that. I hope I shed a little light on you question. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kevin Asks: I would like to begin by saying that your performance in the Rocky Horror Live Show was awesome. I saw the show 3 times. Your acting was great and you had the body to pull of the part. Not many people could do that as well. Anyhow, I actually was checking out your website and am currently starting a workout routine for the first time in my life. I actually am considering making my routine similar to your own. Let me know, how long have you been working out? And also what foods do you think are the best to eat as far as being high in protein, low in fat and moderate in carbs.
Thanks for your attention to my email and I would like to wish you luck in your future career.
Sebastian: Thank Kevin. I really had a great time with the role. I learned so much and as a result grew as an actor from the experience. I have been working out for about ten years now. Although I didn't start working out with the intesity that I do now until about four years ago. Remember to start off slowly. Begin with lighter weights and don't over exert yourself. Using the proper form is more important than lifting heavy weight. Ask a trainer at your gym for help. Don't try and jump right in to a difficult program or your bound to hurt yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day either. Foods like;chicken, tuna, a lean peice of meat or turkey, blackbeans over rice, lots and lots of vegetables, broccolli, spinach, asparagus. Just think light. There is a great book called 'Power Eating', check it out. Or look for other books on healthy eating. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jessica Asks:I recently got back from my trip to New York(I live in San Diego) and I just have to say that I loved your performance in Rocky Horror. I ended up seeing the show 6 times. I am a fan of Sebastian Bach's, so he is the original reason I went to see this play. I must say that I became a fan of the entire cast! You are all amazing. Seeing that play was the most fun I have had in a long time. Thanks for being such a great performer and letting me bug you for a picture at the stage door!!!
Sebastian: Hi Jessica. We did enjoy doing the show. We knew we had something special. It was like being a part of pop-culture history. The audiences were always so great. You never knew what to expect each night. That really helps to keep a show freash for the actors. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Go Chargers!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steve Asks:I have seen you in Rocky Horror a few times, and you are great! You're
so talented! I just had a couple of questions...First, how was
filming the Chicago movie? Do you think it is going to be good? Can you
tell us what numbers you were in?
Also, I have a question about your workout routine. I am a 24 year old male
dancer...I was thinking about starting a routine similar to yours. My
concern is that building up a lot of bulk with decrease my flexibility and
therefore hinder my dancing abilities. Have you found this to be the case at
all? You were obviously amazing at dancing in Rocky, but I was just
wondering if you found that building a lot of muscle affected your ability at
all?
thank you very much, and you are awesome!
Sebastian: Hey Steve. Thanks dude! The filming has gone pretty smoothly. I shot 'The Cellblock Tango ', last month. I play Mona's lover Al Lipshitz. It's a very small dancing role. Mona is played by the R&B singer Maya. I'm going back to Toronto in about a week and a half to shoot 'Roxie' with Rene Zellwiger. What I have seen Rob shoot looks incredible. It's very sexy and dark and dramatic. Aside from a small lighting problem during the first few days of the 'Cellblock' shoot which required addding an addition day of shooting for that number, I think they have remained pretty close to the schedule. Loosing flexibility when adding muscle was always a concern when I was dancing. It's not so much a factor now that my primary goal is on acting. What I would suggest you do is, continue to keep stretching as an intrical element in you workout routine. I have very long muscles so adding bulk didn't compromise my flexibilty. If you tend to have shorter muscles adding muscle mass could hinder your flexibilty some. Try concentrating more on toning instead of adding bulk if it's really a concern. Every body is different and you should do what works for you.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Toni Asks: i just saw rocky for the second time on sunday. it was even better than the first time i saw it. you were wonderful, by the way. i know that there is a soundtrack for the original broadway revival cast, but do you know if there is going to be one for the cast that i saw? (terrance mann, sebastian bach, etc.) thanks a lot!
Sebastian: Hey Toni. I'm sorry to say that there will not be another recording made with that new cast. That would have been a great recording though. Unless a show has a lot of money behind it or they want to still promote the show I wouldn't see them putting up the money to do that. It's all politicts.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luiggi Asks: I saw you on the Rocky Horror
Show on Broadway...you were sensational....and you looked really good
also...how do you keep such an awesome body? Do you feel comfortable doing
the show almost naked? What other things can I see you in?
Sebastian: Ciao Luiggi. Comme Stai? Grazia! That is about the extent of my Italian. Well, I keep a fit body by costantly training at the gym and eating a healthy diet (most of the time, anyway). Sometimes I go for pizza and ice cream. It actually took some getting used to, being "almost naked". I started wearing bathing suits during rehearsals. I'm just beginning my acting career so I'm afraid there isn't much for you to see. I did however have quite an accomplished dance career. I danced on a lot of award shows with different artists, such as, Madonna, Prince, Toni Braxton and Tina Turner. Those would probably be difficult to find. I also danced on The Academy Awards a couple of times. I did a few Other Broadway shows like, Chicago, Kiss of the Spiderwomen and Minnelli on Minnelli and danced in the films, Showgirls, Boggie Nights, Lord of Illusions and Eraser, to name a few. The film stuff is very small and if you blink you might miss it but my name is in the credits.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hilary Asks: My mother gave me tickets to see RHS for my birthday, and I think it was
the best gift I have ever gotten. I am a huge Rocky fan, and I was so sad
when I heard the show was closing before I got a chance to see it, I'm glad
it re opened. The show was more amazing then I ever imagined it could be-
being in such a small theater was great! The entire cast was fabulous. I had
the best birthday ever. I also really appreciate you taking a picture with me
after the show, I know you must have been in a rush. Oh, one more thing- what
will you be doing after Rocky is over? I would be interested in seeing
whatever you will be working on- you are such a talented person.
Sebastian: Hey Hilary. I never mind taken pictures with people. I know how exciting it can be and I'm happy to do it. Everyone is always very nice about it. I'm still looking to find the next project but rest asured that you will all know when I do. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alex Asks: I just have to tell you that you were absolutely amazing as Rocky. You have
the body of a god. I've seen you in it 5 times and I can't take my eyes off
of you. When you're about to come out on stage, I get giddy and nervous. My
firends think I'm crazy, but they love my reaction to you. I've waited to
meet you after the show, but you never come out. I went to see you last
night, and I waited an hour to see you, but you must have left some other
way.
Besides the Chicago movie, is there anything else that you're going to be in
soon? I'd love to see it.
Thank you for making that show great for me.
Love your biggest fan
Sebastian: Thanks Alex. I'm sorry that you didin't get a chance to meet me. There were two exits that we could use I guess we just missed each other that night. Right now I am just enjoying not having to go to the theater every night. It's nice to have some time off. I've been back in my acting class since last October and I'm looking around for the next project. I'll keep every up to date so, just check in .--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jen Asks: I saw you in Rocky Horror Saturday night Dec 22 (first time
to the show) and you totally blew me away as Rocky. I pretty much had to
pick my jaw up off the floor. =) I was so happy that your character was a
bigger part than in the movie. RH is my all time favorite movie. What are
your plans after RH is over? Anymore Broadway shows? Unfortunately you left
before I could meet ya after the show. =( But maybe there will be a chance
meeting you somewhere along the road. Keep on rockin' man!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)
Sebastian: Hi Jen. Glad that you liked the show. I was happy too that Rocky's part was bigger in the stage version. It was nice to see Rocky as more than just a grunting idiot. The actor in the movie that played Rocky was a British model named Peter Hinwood. Peter had no acting or singing experience so Rocky became a mute chraracter and Richard O'Brien singng voice was dubbed to be Rocky's siging voice. Interesting trivia, right? Anyway, now that the show is over I am enjoying a little down time and Looking for my next project.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarah Asks: hey Sebastian! My name is Sarah, and I'm 14. I just wanted to say that I think it's great that you take time answer your fans. You are a great performer, and I mean it. You were obviously born to be on stage. Your stage presence is wonderful. It's so much fun to watch you play Rocky, because you're so good at it! I saw ROCKY on 12/9, and I am seeing it again on 12.26. It will definately been even better. Also, I wrote to Jonathan Sharp, I addressed it to the theater, it wasn't too long ago. Do you know if he usually answers?
Thanks soooooo much for everything!
Sebastian: Hello Sarah. I like answering fan mail. It may take me awhile to get to it sometimes but sonner or later I get it done. It definetly takes some getting used to. I've never had to write to this many people before. I think I was born to be on stage too. I was inately drawn to it from an early age. I knew that that was something I could do and be good at it. I don't know for certain if Jonathan answers all his mail but I'm sure he makes every effort to.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Emily Asks: ... Jon rocks, but I am super happy you're back. Especially when
no one notices my haircuts but you....always a nice feeling. I am so upset I
missed your show, but there's just more reason for you to do more. I'm going
to miss you guys so much when the show is over, but I'm sure we'll all run
into each other at concerts and shows. Speaking of which, you could
definitely do good by going down and making a show for yourself at Joe's Pub
(or any of those fun downtown places). Anyway, Rocky will never be blond
again....
Sebastian: Thanks Emily. It was a nice haircut, what can I say? The show at The Zipper Theater was great. I was very thrilled about how that turned out. I would love to do a show at Joe's Pub. I'm only missing one small thing...material. I don't really write music. I'm very interested in a music career though. It's just a matter of getting that started.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Christine Asks: I saw The Rocky Horror Show on Dec 16th and I LOVED you in it! You have such an amazing voice and wonderful talent. I was hoping to meet you after the performance but I only met Kevin, John Jeffrey, Matthew and James Stovall. I loved the show so much that I am seeing it again on December 29th. Hopefully you will be there and I will be able to meet you before or after the show. If you could write me back that would be awesome! Thanks!
Sebastian: Hey Christine. I'm sorry that you didn't get a chance to meet me back then. I hope you were sucessful later in the month. I never mind saying hello. It's great to hear that you enjoyed me in the show, thanks.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

D Asks: Hi Sesbatian,
I haven't seen the Broadway show of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, though I
hope to see it soon before you split to another show. I see from your site
you've been a 'buzzie' person. Untill when will you be playing Rocky? So
far I think you are a great choice for the role of Rocky. I was looking over
your Bio and didn't find much details about you other than your BODY and some
of your work.... Are you of latino descent? If so from which Latin country?
Sebastian: D. I don't know if your ever made it to the show or not but as you may already know by now, Rocky closed in early January. I was in the show through the closing. contrary to many first impressions I am not Latin. My background is Italian on my mother's side and African-American on my father's side. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seth Asks: I enjoyed you very much in rocky horror, when I saw it in June. Is it comfortable to wear the g-string? Anyhoo, what are you going to be doin when Rocky is done? I hear that you perform around NY when and where? I would love to come and see you?
Have an inyourface day
Sebastian: Hey Seth. You know, I just kinda got used to the g-string. Luckily it wasn't too severe. It was like wearing underwear. I'm not really sure where you heard that I perform around the city because I don't. I have been in a couple Broadway shows around the Times Square area. That is about the extent of my New york performances, well and Broadway Bares. I will be sure to post what I'm doing on my site so check in peeriodically. I'll try and have an inyourface day, thanks.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nick & Chris Ask: On your web site you have all the exercises except what you do for abs. Could you tell us?
Oh, I saw you twice in Rocky and my friend and I think your the cat's pajamas. We will follow you anywhere (in spirit, of course).
Sebastian: What's up guys. My ab routine is a bit lengthy in explanation. That is why I choose to leave it out on my site. I will try and give you the idea of what I do. Basically I break down my abdominals into four sections; the right and left obliques and uppers and lower. I work each section like I would work any other body part; with slow concentrated movement. I prefer this to banging out 100 or so fast paced sit-ups. I do sets of 20 crunches for each section, making sure I hold in the 'up' position for a count of three before I release. Sometimes I hold a 25lb plate when I do my obliques and a 10lb plate when I do my uppers. If you have ankle weights use them when you do your lowers. I hope that helps. Thanks guys. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and your body and your voice just amazed me...I'm wondering...how did you get
your body like that? I'd love to develop a body like yours, but
unfortunately, am too young to go to the gym, but do you have any pushup type
things or situps you'd reccomend? Or what is your diet? Any insight you can
give on how I can get your fabulously muscular look (if it's at all possible
without a gym) I'd appreciate it, because you look so toned and so
sexy...wow! (but I'm sure you already knew that much!) Please help me!!!
hahaha
Sebastian: Hey Samuel. While 14 is a bit young to start working out with weights, the best place to begin the foundation for a fit physique is by learning how to eat healthy. I am not certified to put you on a specific regiment. All I can tell you is start to incorporate a lot of vegetables and more meat into your diet but Mc Donalds doesn't count. Check out the book 'Power Eating'. The author is a women named Susan Kliner or Kline. Ask your parents to get it for you on Amazon.com. If you are interested in any type of sports that is also a great way to get in shape at an early age. Is there a swim club in your area? What about running track? These types of programs can get you started and can also be a lot of fun. I swam on my high school swim team.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sebastian: Hey Anna. Of course I know who your aunt is! She is great. She bought the silver suit I wore at Broadway Bares IX. She brought it to the theater on closing night and I signed it for her. She is very sweet. I think it's so cool that someone bought a costume of mine. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the show too. She was telling me how she thought her family probably thought she was nuts for liking the show so much. I'm glad to see that she recruited some as well. Now, unfortunately, I don't have any information on Matthew or Jonathan for you. I don't see them now that we aren't working together but I'm sure that they would appreciate your adulation. You'll have to keep your eyes peeled for them. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lex Asks: Hello Sebastian, just wanted to let you know-you guys ROCK. I saw TRHS, the other night and u guys worked with Cindy Adams (it was her first night) as if she'd been there all along. I hope to see the show a few more times. Just want to know if you'll be doing anything else on or off Broadway??? A one man show, I think would be great. Well take care and keep entertaining us
Sebastian: Hello Lex. Well, I definitely have hopes of continuing my pursuit of acting jobs. I would love to work on another show, on or off Broadway. Theater is an absolutely amazing experience and I hope it is always a part of my career. Working on a one-man show is also something that I have thought about. It just comes down to the simple fact of having an idea for the show. I have been tossing a few around but I'll have to wait and see if any of the ideas stick.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ariana Asks: Hi! My name is Ariana. I saw you the other day as Rocky I just wanted to let you know that you had a great performance and I cant wait to see the play again. I had taken a photo with you after I doubt you remember but I just wanted to thank you so thanks.
Hope to hear from you
weeks.
Sebastian: Hey Ariana. I just wanted to say thanks for writing to me and I'm glad you enjoyed the show.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Naomi Asks: Yesterday, December 2nd, I went with my friend to see "Rocky Horror" for
the 2nd time. We saw the 7pm show.....you were faboulous!!! We are coming
back a 3rd time with more friends. We love the show and music. It's nice to
see the dedication and talent of the cast. My dream is to be on Broadway
myself. I just wish I had the confidence to audition. I've been in plenty
of shows and went to a Performing Arts High School, but I lack the confidence
to audition for Broadway. I just wanted to say that I was extremely
impressed by your performance last night. By the way, I was the blonde
waving to you from the taxi after the show. I'll see you the last weekend of
the show!!!! Take Care! Best of luck to you and the cast on it's last few
weeks.
Sebastian: Hi Naomi. I actually remember you waving to me from the cab! The confidence factor is definitely a huge obstacle to overcome. Auditioning can be very scarey when you are first starting out. No one likes it but it is a crutial part of the game. The only way that I was able to conquer those fears was to meet them head on. The more auditions I went to, the easier they became. I had to learn how to repeat what I did that made a certain audition great. Was I relaxed and concentrated? Did I sing on key? Did I choose a good audition song? Did I dance cleanly? That just comes from trial and error. Trust me when I tell you that I had many auditions that were just aweful.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dean Asks: Why no photos posted in your floorshow outfit? Those fishnets and heels are much sexier than the briefs.
Sebastian: Hey Dean. It just never occured to me to have photos of me in my fishnets and heels. I'm sure you're not the only one who thinks thats a sexy look but I prefer the breifs myself. I guess you'll have to reference your memmory on this one buddy.

Jeri Asks: Sebastian,
Saw you in RH in March and you (and the rest of the cast) were FABULOUS! You all had such tremendous energy and I absolutely loved the show. I will be coming back on 12/8 and am glad that I will be able to catch you again as Rocky. Just wondering if there's anywhere special that you all go after the show (or is it just home and pass out)? Look forward to seeing you perform on the 8th.
Jeri Martin
Sebastian: Hey Jeri. I hate to admit it but when the show is over I high tail it home to relax. I know that sounds awefully boreing but what can I say. However, I have been known to head out for a drink or two on those rare occassions. I'm not a complete washout.

Megan Asks: I was fortunate enough to catch you in Rocky (way back when we could email you there and you'd actually answer!) And what treat.
I'll be able to see the show again on Dec. 15 -- at least that's the plan. Will you be performing then?
Also, how weird is it for someone to bring flowers for the cast? Or cookies? LOL
I feel so appreciative of all the wonderful times I've seen the show, I'd like to show the cast how much. But I don't want to be too...weird. :)
I'll be looking foward to seeing Chicago.
Megan
Sebastian: Hey Megan. I don't know if you've already come to the show or not but we love flowers and cookies! You should never feel weird about showing appreciation. And I don't just mean that because I might get some cookies.

Derrick Asks: Hi Sebastian,
Damn. I only wish that finale.jpg pic was larger. Oh well. Found out about you from Gotham (Live) TV.
You remind me of Coldplay's song "Bigger Stronger".
Thanks for the pics.
Derrick
Sebastian: Hey Derrick. I'm glad you like the picture. I'll look for that song. I'm not familiar with it

Jean Asks: Dear Sebastian !!!
How are you ! Superb web site, simple and stylish, very Wallpaper !!!. With all the garbage we find on the net, this is quite refreshing.Cool pictures too, I wasn't expecting anything less anyways judging by your looks, you were born with it like they say.....
First of all, let me congratulate you on your work in RH, even though I haven't seen the show myself yet (recent events slowing down tourism). I heard some good comments from friends who were in New York this summer. I do need to say that I also visited the RH web site numerous times and caught a glimpse of it. I promised myself I would go see the show before Christmas, but of course I need to wait till you come back to the show at the end of November, n'est-ce pas. As you probably noticed, my English is not so perfect, sorry. I am a little French Canadian from Montreal.
I must say I did my home work and was able to learn more about your work in such projects as Broadway Bares, numerous movies, TV appearances, a performance with Madonna at the 1996 Britts awards? What an interesting resume?
I learned that you are presently working hard in Toronto, on the set of the Chicago movie. What an incredible experience this must be. Joining this incredible ''brodway musical'' experience with the whole ''movie'' experience, alongside Catherine, Rene, Katie and RICHARD?.How is it going so far? Will we have the privilege to see a lot of you on the screen?
My question to you is that I was thinking of going to Toronto soon to visit a friend of mine in a week or so. I was curious to know were the movie set was located. I would have surely gone to have a peek of the shooting unless they are keeping it a closed set. One of my friends is actually part of the cast as well. His name is Jean-Luc Cote. Have you two met?
I hope to bump into you while I'm over in Toronto. If not I will try to chat with you at the ''entree des artistes'' when I go see the show, hopefully in December. I hear that you and the other performers in RH are one of the few artists who take time to greet people at the end of the show. Thank you for that, as we the audience get to live a great moment and sometimes need to talk about it.
Thanks and keep hope the good work, and the good looks
A fan,
Jean
Sebastian: Salut Jean. Oui, working on the movie has been quite interesting. Unfortunately though you will not have the priviledge of seeing a lot of me on screen. I have a very, very, very tiny....I don't even think it qualifies as an actual part but I do have a name, Al Lipshitz. I am very greatful to have been given the opportunity but it is what it is. I'm going to have to stop taking dance jobs. I said that once before but then the world changed on September 11th and we all got scared, my show closed and I didn't think it was the time to be picky. I learned many valuable lessons though and the one I will share is that sometimes in life we are meant to be observers and are not meant to participate as we'd like. Giving yourself over to that power is difficult but once you do there are a great many things to see which in turn teach us.
Of course I met your friend Jean-Luc and I actually do think we have a closed set. If you do make it to the show I truly hope you enjoy it.

Lance Asks: Hey Sebastian,
Lance here, remember me??? :o) Probably not since you have been so busy and meeting all kinds of people. I'm the one who mailed you a letter before I came to see the show and met you afterwards. You gave me a couple of autographed pics which are now framed and proudly displayed.
I just wanted to drop you a line and congratulate you on CHICAGO, I'm sure you will do a great job and I can't wait to see it. I'm hoping to come to NY at least 1 more time to see you as Rocky before it ends..........if it ends. :o) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't.
I'd like to know what you think of movies that are based on broadway shows? I thought this would be a good question since you will be filming Chicago. Of course the excitement of watching a broadway show live can never be "bottled" and released in the movie theaters, but I think it's great. Many people who live in rural areas such as myself, don't get the opportunity to go to NY on a regular basis, if at all. This is a perfect chance for people to get an idea of what it's like and many times it's an introduction to some really great music that they may not normally listen to.
Also, I'm a HUGE Madonna fan and was able to see her in concert 4 times this past summer. I know that in the beginning stages of Chicago, when they were just developing the idea, there was talk of casting her in the role of Roxy (I believe). I know you are happy with the cast now, but don't you think she would have been great in that role? Speaking of Broadway being filmed and Madonna, what did you think of Evita? You would have made an excellent Che! :o)
Good luck with all of your upcoming projects. I know you will have success in everything you do. Hopefully, I'll get to see you again before you leave Rocky Horror. Take care and be safe.
Lance
Sebastian:Hey Lance. Of course I remember you and your family. You were all so kind to me. I haven't been that busy. The rehearsals for CHICAGO went quite well. I was in Toronto for about five weeks in total. Within that five week period I think I actually only worked about two and a half weeks, maybe. We had a lot a free time on our hands. Rob Marshal, the director/choreographer, had to not only rehearse the dancers during this time period but the stars as well.
There is nothing quite like experiencing live theater. You are able to have a wider perspective, litterally and it's a more tangible experience but I think that movie adaptations of Broadway shows can be pretty incredible. Of course there will always be exceptions but when you think of some of the brilliant classics such as West Side Story, Cabaret or On The Town, how can you not be impressed with Broadway on celluloid. When all the elements come together there are so many more layers that can be added on the screen. And yes, films are able to reach a wider audience so being able to expose people to a broader range of entertainment is definitely good.
Madonna, I thought was actually cast as Velma and Goldie Hawn as Roxie. I see Madonna more of aVelma anyway. There is definitely something more cunning and sexy and all-knowing about that role. Roxie is more quirky and naive. Two qualities Velma nor Madonna have. Nonetheless, I do think she would have been quite good in the role.
I would like to play Che one day......hmmm, I made a rhyme.

William Asks: Hey Sebastian,
I saw your performance last March and it was great!! I'm emailing you though because I was curious what your diet is like. I'm just beginning and trying to be serious about working out and my body and was wondering what type diet you keep. Thanks and keep up the good work!
~William
Sebastian: Hi William. Diet is a very important piece of the puzzle. You can see your body change before your very eyes if you eat the right foods. I am not a nutritionist, by any means so I have no educational background in the field of eating healthy but I do have years of trial and error experience. Therefore, I can only tell you what has worked for me personally. I have never been a big calorie counter. What I do do, is to try and keep it simple. I try to maintain a low fat, high protein and moderate carb intake. Broken down even simpler, it means a lot and I mean for almost every meal, either chicken rice and vegetables or chicken rice and black beans. I know what you thinking, "How boring!" Yes, at times, it gets monotonous but you do have a pay-off. I allow myself one day a week of indulgence. I use that day to eat what I crave. Now, what I try to do to the mundane diet I just told you about is get creative. Stir-fryes are a great and easy way to get your chicken rice and veggies. You can buy a variety of sauces at your market. For example try broccoli, green beans, asparagus and red pepper with a Thai peanut sauce over rice. Or, do a beef stir fry with hanger or flank steak, snow peas, green peppers, red pepper, green beans and broccoli with a teriyaki sauce....mmmm yum. Rice and beans are great too. Get some Progresso black beans and drain them. Put them in a pot and add a little water (just enough to barely cover the beans) add some salsa and extra spices like chili powder, a dash a cumin and maybe a dash or two of tabasco if you want a little kick, then bring to a boil. Brown some chicken and serve over rice. You can spice up this meal by using chicken chorizo instead of regular chicken....yum, yum. yum! There are a few ideas. Oh, try making grilled chicken sandwiches with lettuce, tomatoe and hummus. What about oatmeal in the morning with a scoop of soy protein powder in it. Or perhaps scambled egg whites with turkey sausages. It's pretty easy. Just eat sensibly and watch your body change.

Mark Asks: Sebastian,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note thanking you for the great times you've given so many people. I only saw "Rocky Horror" once, but I have never forgotten it, and I am sad and angry that it had to close its doors.
Thank you for the music, the dancing, the laughs and the great, great CD, which has a permanent place in my Rockola jukebox. I know your career will continue to rise upward.
Mark Bessenger
Sebastian: Hi Mark. Thank you so much. I appreciate your kindness and I am proud to know that we all made such a lasting impression on you. I too, shared your feelings of sadness and anger about the shows closing. It was a shock for us all. I am very grateful that the show has reopened, even if only for a limited engagement. It gives many people the opportunity to continue working in an ecconomy that has seen better days.

Eddie Asks: Dear Mr. Lacause,
After seeing the show at least twenty times, I am really upset that it closed. Everyone was so full of life everytime I saw the show. It was a blast for me, and as I could see a blast for the whole cast. I just wanted to say that you did a great job performing, and I hope there are plenty of other chances to see you perform. Do you have any other info on what you will be doing after "Your Zipper is open"? Let me know. Thanks for such a great, up- beat show everynight!
-Eddie
Sebastian: Eddie. Well, after the show at The Zipper closed I spent four and half weeks in Toronto rehearsing the production numbers I was cast in for the film adaptation of CHICAGO. I'm playing Al Lipshitzs in The Cellblock Tango, which is a very, very small non-speaking, dancing role. Also, if you look real hard, you may be able to find me dancing alongside Rene in Roxie.
I returned to THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW this past Tuesday night where I will remain until it closes on January 6th.
