Once upon a time there were two people that lived on different sides of the U.S. and didn't know each other. Janine lived in California, and Sean in Louisiana. Both of them were very unhappy, but for different reasons.
Meanwhile, the computer industry had developed something called the internet so that people could communicate over long distances via computers. One of the things people could do on the internet was "chat," which is kind of like having a conversation except that you can't see or hear the person you are talking to.
One day Sean and Janine "met" in a "chat room." They had a nice conversation, and decided to chat again and again. They also sent e-mail to each other, which is not always a good thing to do with someone you meet in a chat room. Eventually, they decided to talk on the telephone, which is a potentially dangerous thing to do with someone you meet in a chat room. Later on they exchanged street addresses so that they could send regular mail to each other, which is an even worse thing to do with someone you meet in a chat room. Then one day Janine decided to get on an airplane and fly to Louisiana to meet Sean in person, which you should absolutely NEVER do with someone that you met in a chat room, because it could be very dangerous. The other person might turn out to be very ugly and rude, or maybe even a crazed lunatic who is waiting to chop you up and put you in the swamp.
Fortunately for Janine, Sean was not too much of a
crazed lunatic, and he did not chop her up and put her in the swamp
(although
he did mention it a number of times). Fortunately for Sean, Janine was
not very ugly and rude, just a little hungry-looking with a bit of a
trash-mouth and a disgusting sense of humor. To make a long story
short(er), about
nine months later Janine moved from San Jose, California, to Destrehan,
Louisiana. Then about ten months after that, they got married. What
about the kids, you say? Well, read down further and you'll run into
all four of them, after the rest of the geography lesson.
After more than five years in Destrehan, circumstances eventually caused Janine to seek a new career path, which resulted in the family moving to Germantown, Tennessee in 2002. Although some people have gone so far as to say that Janine "uprooted Sean from his ancestral homeland" in southern Louisiana, others might respond that she left her hometown first, when she moved from northern California five yars earlier. Fortunately, the close proximity to the Mississippi River and other similarities between Southwestern Tennessee and Southeastern Louisiana eased the transition. Truth be told, while they missed the bayou country between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, and travelled back there at least twice a year, the family settled comfortably into their new home in the metropolitan Memphis area.
Unfortunately the career path that led to them
Tennessee was fairly
short-lived. So--another job, another state. In 2005, Janine, Sean,
Emma & Aidan left Trevor in Memphis and moved to Durham, North
Carolina, thus extending
Janine's tour of the south and leaving South Carolina as the only
southeastern state where Sean has not resided or spent significant
periods of time.
Fortunately, the outlook for this location seems better for the long
term, which is good since Aidan will be starting elementary school in
2006. At any rate, although it is even farther away from both Louisiana
and California, we all like the Triangle Area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel
Hill) and are settling in for what we hope is a long stay. Once more,
we invite all our friends and family to visit.
Trevor & Emma (Howard), Janine's children from
her first marriage,
initially stayed in California with their dad and visited Louisiana on
holidays. Then they moved to Louisiana to live with Sean & Janine,
and visited California on holidays. Then they moved back to California
and visited Louisiana on holidays again. Then, shortly after Ethan was
born (see below) Trevor moved back to Louisiana and Emma stayed in
California, and everything got even more complicated. Eventually, after
lots of gory details and a family move from Louisiana to Tennessee (see
above), Trevor went back to California. Then, after even
more gory details, Trevor and Emma very suddenly left California and
moved back in with Sean & Janine in Tennessee. After finishing high
school Trevor got a job in Memphis and moved into his own place, about
the same time that the rest of the family moved again in 2005
(see above again). Although Trevor does not have his own web page, you
can e-mail him at trevh@george.net.
Emma however, in keeping with her personality, spends plenty of time
maintaining her
own pages on the infamous myspace.com server. Be warned, she is now a college
student and full of self-expression (that said,
if you see anything outrageously inappropriate, please feel free to let us know).
On November 15, 1999, God gave Sean & Janine a
beautiful baby boy,
Ethan Brockner Favrat George. As it turned out, Ethan was apparently an
angel who was only masquerading as a little boy, so he was only able to
stay with the Georges for seven weeks. On March 5, 2001 however, God
decided to send them another beautiful baby boy, Aidan Richard Kamassa
George. While Aidan is certainly a tremendous joy in their lives, he
does seem to be human and healthy enough to keep Sean & Janine on
their toes for years to come. Please feel free to look at Ethan's and
Aidan's personal pages for more
information about each of them, including lots
of pictures.
That's all for now. You can e-mail us at

or janine@george.net.
....Ya'll come back now, ya hear!
