Like our Founders, we believe that our nation, our communities, and our lives are made vastly stronger and richer by faith and the countless acts of justice and mercy it inspires. You believe all Americans should be united, even when we disagree. We are committed to resolving our differences in a spirit of civility, hope and mutual respect. You believe access to quality health care should be affordable to all. You believe affordable, high-quality health care will keep our families healthy, our businesses competitive, and our country strong. You believe America should be respected around the world.We believe in an America that cherishes freedom, safeguards our people, forges alliances, and deserve respect. You believe in leaving our children a clean environment. We know that farming, fishing, tourism, and other industries require a healthy environment. We know a cleaner environment means a stronger economy. You believe all Americans should be free and equal. We will restore vigorous federal enforcement of our civil rights laws for all our people, from fair housing to equal employment opportunity. You believe America can lead the world by its example. We know that promoting democracy, human rights, and the rule of law is vital to our long-term security. Americans will be safer in a world of democracies. The Democratic Party includes a wide variety of people with varying backgrounds and views. While some issues may be more or less important to any of us, we believe together we can help shape the future of this country towards a more perfect union.
