Keep On Keeping On

August was a frustrating month for various reasons. I am essentially now based in the US, but conversely am still in London. I am waiting to move now but can't do anything until my passport is returned from the Embassy. So I find myself working remotely which is fine, but I need to go to feel settled, everything is out in the US now so it's a limbo situation. I even got a letter through yesterday from the IRS which is kinda odd.

Been listening to a lot of music lately. Perhaps more than usual. Saw Dinosaur Jr for the second time last week at Camden Koko and it was a incredible performance. Better than the gig at the Forum, tighter, more aggressive, cleaner. One of the greatest gigs I've ever seen, the guitar work blew me away. My mate who builds and sells his own distortion pedals was virtually laughing all the way through the set. It's Mudhoney this week which should also be a huge blast. Superfuzz Bigmuff is one of those unsung rock records that I personally rate as a genuine classic. Here's hoping they kick serious asshole. Also digging Roxy Music (gotta love those vocals) a lot, and going through a sorta Country Rock phase via Raging Slab, Skynard and Black Oak Arkansas. As usual, too much music, too little time.

Still playing World of Warcraft. Amazing game. Simple, basic, but totally captivating. Getting back into my PSP now the UK launch has been and gone, Ridge Racer is fantastic. Fast, responsive and very very playable. I think the jury is still out on the PSP but I'm feeling a little more positive about it now. If the games keep coming it could be a major success, especially in the UK which seems to be a healthy market for the unit.

Anyhoo, must go now. Got a busy day today entertaining ten friends, so me and the g/f better tidy this shit hole up. :-)
