2		Dit is (niet) verschrikkelijk langzaam. This is (not) terribly slow.

		Als ik in Nederland zo (langzaam) zou praten, zouden de mensen zeggen: 'Wat is er aan de hand?' If I were to talk like this (this slow) in Holland, people would say: 'What's the matter?'
2	2	Maar ik begrijp dat voor sommige studenten Nederlands op normale snelheid bijna niet te volgen is. But I understand that for some students regular-speed Dutch is hard to [follow] comprehend.
		Alles om me heen lijkt zo langzaam, alsof ik in een hogere versnelling zit. Everything around me looks so slow, as if I am in higher gear.
2	2	De zoutkorrels in de zandloper vallen één voor één heel langzaam naar beneden. The grains of salt in the hourglass fall down one by one, very slowly.
2		De secondewijzer wordt een minuutwijzer. The seconds hand [on the clock] becomes a minute hand. >> time
2	2	De minuutwijzer lijkt wel helemaal stil te staan. The minute hand seems to have come to a complete standstill.
		De minuutwijzer beweegt bijna niet meer. The minute hand is barely moving anymore.
2 3		Het lijkt wel alsof iemand (heel) ver weg af en toe op een trommel slaat - dat zal m'n hartslag zijn. It's like someone far in the distance from time to time hits a drum - that's probably my heartbeat. >> medical
		Maar zou wat ik zeg dan langzaam klinken voor andere mensen? But would what I say then sound slowed down to other people?
		Ik denk eigenlijk van niet - foutje. Actually, I don't think so - I made a mistake.
2 3		Maar als ik heel snel praat, daar heeft niemand wat aan. But if I speak very quickly, that's not of use to anybody.
2		Haast U als U de tijd heeft, dan heeft U de tijd als U haast heeft. Do hurry when you have time, so you'll have time when you're in a hurry.
		Haastige spoed is zelden goed. Hurry rarely gives good results.
2		Zachtjes aan, dan breekt het lijntje niet. Go softly so the [line] rope doesn't break. (Easy does it.)
