Basic Procedure
For three or four:
- 3 Lb (1½ Kg) French beans
- butter, nutmeg
- Wash beans well, with at least three changes of water;
- Snip off ends and snap beans through;
(if a bean just bends and does not snap with a crack it's not
very fresh: it may not have much taste)
- Put cut beans in a pan, cover with water, bring to a boil, and cook for
20 minutes
- Drain water from beans after 20 minues of cooking;
- Put a little butter on the beans and grate some nutmeg over the beans,
and mix in.

Meal Preparation Schedule
For three or four

- potatoes
- eggs
- Wash beans, snip off ends, cut (this shouldn't take more than ten
minutes);
- Peel potatoes, cut, wash, and put in pan with about 1 inch of water;
- Put beans in pan, cover with water, bring to a boil, lower heat and cook for
20 minutes;
- A few minutes after you started heating the beans, start heating
the potatoes - bring to a boil, lower heat, cook for 17
minutes;
- Start baking eggs at 12 minutes before beans and potatoes are ready;
- When ready, drain potatoes, put back on medium-low-heat burner for
two minutes;
- When ready, drain beans, add buter and grate some nutmeg over it.
