I serve as an Autism & Behavior Interventionist with a focus on children and youths (18 months – 18 years old) on the Autism Spectrum and children with severe behavioral issues or emotional disorders. In my role, I develop and oversee individualized education plans and teaching strategies, which are built upon on a learner’s strengths, current abilities and interests. I proudly serve as Adjunct Professor at
The National Hispanic University in San Jose and at my alma mater
Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena. Additionally, I am the Founding President of
Gay & Gender Research, a non-profit social science research organization dedicated to exploring issues related to gender, gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation
Throughout my 20-year career, I have been honored to work with a wide spectrum of learners in terms of ages and backgrounds, as well as in a variety of learning environments. I have worked with school-age homeless children learning basic literacy skills, homeless adults working towards their Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED), preschool and elementary children in before and after-school care, older adults with various forms of dementia, differently-abled adults and children in various settings, and adults learners in a wide variety of adult schools, college and corporate learning environments.
I love learning and am passionate about supporting others in their educational journeys.
