Take This Steak...And Shove It


Am I the only one who finds the current Applebee's ad campaign annoying? As if Johnny Paycheck's "Take This Job And Shove It" wasn't bad enough, the folks behind the restaurant's marketing have found a way to make it worse. The song now promotes steaks topped with various meats, sauces and cheeses.

You can hear the song on the Applebee's web site and every other commercial break on network television. The annoying folks at Applebee's have also kindly posted their parody lyrics online.

Sample Lyric:
Take this steak and top it with mushrooms, shrimp
or cheese. There's no hesitatin' a hot steak is
waitin' tonight at Applebee's.

If I'm not mistaken, hasn't Applebee's ruined or made worse other popular tunes over the past few years? Who's behind their campaigns anyway?
