The Thanksgiving Feast



It was the day before Thanksgiving, when the people in Turkeyland were most busy. The men hunted turkeys, the ladies picked the crops, and the children set the tables for Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving Day had come. The people of Turkeyland stuffed themselves silly with all of the turkeys from the land except Jack. The people were too tired to hunt him. Jack is the only turkey left in Turkeyland. Jack was lonely for awhile, but the next day he found a boat and sailed for a long time. He finally saw land and floated ashore. On the new land, there was food to eat and water to drink and many other turkeys.
