Perfect...

Yesterday, I heard a colleague say, "we have to get out of Iraq". I said yep, just as soon as we win. He just looked at me funny. A little while later I said I was surprised by his response to my statement, as he is a student of history. Victory creates peace and then we leave, I said. Cox & Forkum read my mind:

Rockin-n-rolling...

As I said in this post, I am very interested in earthquakes and have studied them. Well now there is this:

...Another researcher will present data he says indicates the San Andreas fault is set to enter a period of especially frequent and more intense shaking.

"It seems perfect," said University of Oregon professor Ray Weldon of the conference location. "That is going to be about the center of the rupture if we are all right."

Weldon will speak today at the event about data he and student researchers have spent 18 years gathering from the San Andreas fault near Wrightwood.

They say data from the site shows the fault has had varying levels of stress in the past 1,500 years. Today, the fault shows high levels of stress, suggesting a period of strain release, via earthquakes, is near, he said...

Blog screwed...

Last night iBlog put out an update and now I have all kinds of problems. I am working on it. I hate it when software is updated and they (whoever that is) changes the interface. Oh well, I will figure it out.

In the meantime here are some links I collected today.

Glenn introduces what I think is the biggest story of the last couple days, John Ashcroft's ass-kicking at the 9/11 hearings. Powerline has more.

Hook is blogging from the Stan. Stay safe Sarge.

Go get 'em GWB...

Lib Radio...

In trouble?? LMAO, but not surprised. LOL. I listened for a whole two days on the Internet. It was really boring except one show, Randi Rhodes, who was actually entertaining. I don't think one good show makes a network, but who am I.

Now Drudge has it. Nice scoop Paul.

Update: Glenn has more.

POTUS...

I thought the President did a pretty good job tonight, but the press seems to think a press conference is a Junior High debate. Unbelievable questions, that seem to have no other purpose than to either trip up GWB or dig up some little fact, that they think, is scandalous. I wonder whose side they are on in this war? I know for sure, they don't care about news. Sad isn't it, that the President speaks about important issues and all I notice is the media. So, the message was right on, there now I talked about what he said.

Here is a blogger round-up:

InstaGlenn has excellent coverage. Some of my other links will no doubt be in his post, but here you go anyway. Blackfive's thoughts. Michele offers this and this. DCGI offers his commentary and the text of the speech. Roger seems to think GWB did fine. Brian writes : "Notice that Bush is at his absolute best when he gets emotional, and is speaking from his heart?" I agree. Yourish pipes in. A bit more practice and shorter answers is The Elder's advice. Robert says, "he should do this more often," yep, and Andrew agrees. Susanna just likes GWB.

Worldnet Daily has the speech and all the questions and answers. The questions are very telling of the media's bias, IMHO.

Update: A few more to finish this. Amish Tech speaks, writes. Hit & Run has a round-up that includes a couple I hadn't seen. Dean's thoughts. Jim has his say. Spoons.

Update II: I said I was done, but this is just to good not to post. Go read it now.

The new Miss USA, a member of the VRWC??

Speaking of the VRWC, there is some new information from the 9/11 commission testimony that is interesting and that you should read. Shut them up? Doubtful. Related from DGCI.

Monday, Monday...

Dang. Mondays. Suck.

I have a bunch to post but no time...later, there will be good stuff.

Look who is on the cover of 'France Today':

Here come the links:

Paul is wondering, what if Gore was president before 9/11? Could he have stopped it? Nope.

Here is the PDB. Go read it and makeup your own mind.

What do I think? Nothing surprising there, move on.

I do have a couple questions for all the 9/11 testifiers: Is there anything that we are missing? What can we do so something like 9/11 never happens again? Seems to me that this is the commissions job, not this blame game. Besides we know who knew about it and who did it, the terrorists did it.

The folks over at FARK our photoshopping (well I hope they are) Mars images, hehe.

Monkey showcasing weapons, scary and cool.

Lee has information about a recent protest in San Fran and a recent picture of baby Jessica, wow. Update: Just as soon as I linked it, it may be a fake, oh well, still nice to look at.

Kevin at Wizbang is "helping" J F'ng K, hehe.

Update: I have been grabbing all that I can and will soon have a page up. There are many and it will take a while. I can't believe the J F'ng K's web folks haven't taken this down. If you have one and want it posted, grab an image and send. I am now posting captures here. I have about 100 and I only plan to post the best. Check back often as the page is growing.

Oh Crap. I missed LGF and his coverage. Charles makes a good point:

UPDATE: Four and a half hours later, and the joke pages are still up there?

John Effin’ Kerry wants to take over the security of the entire United States ... and he can’t even secure his own campaign web site.

LOL...here is Kim saying he is in, I think these won't last long, but it is fun:

Update: An hour after me, Allah agrees it won' t last long. Dang why I am I not hit more. Oh, well.

Thanks to the Great One for the link. Allah Akbar.

Oh Boy!

This took off, way funny. Here are some more. Ok, I am a bit slow. I just noticed that Kevin has linked me and a thanks is in order, so Thanks. You need to go read the comments. Hehe.

Into...

A cardiologist died and was given an elaborate funeral.
A huge heart covered in flowers stood behind the casket during the service.
Following the eulogy, the heart opened, and the casket rolled inside.
The heart then closed, sealing the doctor in the beautiful heart forever.
At that point, one of the mourners burst into laughter.
When all eyes stared at him, he said, "I'm sorry, I was just thinking of my own
funeral... I'm a gynecologist."

 ....  then the proctologist fainted.

Iraq and...

Here is a great summary of what is going on in Iraq.

Blackfive has links to good stuff.

Allah has links to all kinds of information on Iraq.

Lee has a story about how we Americans are making a difference. Good stuff.

Allan is being a mythbuster, nice.

Paul at Wizbang points out that the Dems ask for it. He also has proof of how low the Dems will go to discredit Dr. Rice. Bob Kerrey is what? Got that right.

Air America, who cares? LGF has a article that says, nobody. Hehe.

Allah has comments from some of the great writers.

Dean, well Rosemary, caught Kerry flipping again. Here is a intercepted IM session with J F'n K, hmmm.

Here is a first hand account of what is going on in Iraq, scary, indeed. Smash has some good links for more info. Tom Paine is wondering about the supplies the troops have in Iraq. Here is another Blogger in Baghdad. They, the media, wants US to lose, duh.

John Hawkins is looking at blogger influence, interesting.

A great use of Old Glory.

Michele has very timely comments for Bob Kerrey, hmmm.

Smash sums up events in Iraq very nicely. Another MilBlogger has some advice. Here is a very interesting report from Iraq. Here is an idea of how things could be handled. Filter your information carefully folks, because what you hear in the Media is not always the truth.

Clinton did not even mention al-Qaeda in his final report, hmmmm.

Its pig time. Ok. Maybe, it would work?

Are you flying your flag for Fallujah? Well I am:

Totally not PC...

Three strangers strike up a conversation in the airport in Bozeman Montana, awaiting their flights.

One is a Sioux Indian from Lame Deer.
Another is a Cowboy on his way to Billings for a rodeo.
The third is a fundamentalist Arab student, newly arrived at Montana State University.

Their discussion drifts to their cultures. Soon, the two Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical Muslim and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull. The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a table and tips his sweat-stained hat over his face.

After a long silence, the Indian clears his throat and speaks, "At one time, my people were many, but sadly, now we are few." The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward, "Once my people were few," he sneers, "and now we are many. Why do you suppose that is?"

The Montana cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his mouth and from the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a drawl, "That's 'cause we ain't played Cowboys and Muslims yet, but I do believe it's comin'
