The teaching days...

I just found this.  One of my students drew it:

I am using the free time of Labor Day to work on my site.  So far I think I have fixed the 'Link' problem.  It now works.  So if you click the 'Link' link, you get a permalink to the post.  Right now it only works on the hompeage.  On the Category pages, click the 'Read More' link for a permalink.

I have a lot more to do.  It takes a long time to make these changes because there are over 3400 pages to modify.

If you notice anything else let me know.

Where in the world... 

...have I been.  No where, really.  Just not on the Internet.  For the last week or so, I haven't really watched the news or read web sites.  I don't care about the news.  I don't care about politics.  The only thing I have been reading in my RSS reader are Mac sites.  I just don't care about anything else right now.  Oh well.

I have been reading and listening to books.  Invisible Prey and Broken Prey by John Sandford.  Echo Park and The Overlook by Michael Connelly.  State of Fear, Prey, Airframe and Timeline by Michael Crichton.  All good.  

I imagine that someday I will begin posting again.  When that day is, I don't know...

Update: I am excited here. Very excited, but I am not going to get to carried away. Today there was a Quicktime update. I did that update and now iBlog is working. Will it continue to work? I don't know, but this is great if it is fixed...

Update II: Okay the same first symptom is back. Not a good sign and I just noticed this on the QT update page:

QuickTime 7.1.1 addresses an issue with 3rd party start-up items on Intel Macs...

And you thought Explore was imbedded into Windows. Sheesh.

Hurry up Apple and get this fixed for good.

One other note before this dies again (?), I for some reason cannot update iWeb from work, so new posts over there will happen in the evening.

Software problems are such a pain. Now I know how you Windows people feel.
