Should I Care about Gay Marriage?...

I am serious. Should I really care about so called gay marriage? Because I don't.

I think I am a member of the "base" I keep hearing about. I am a Christian, straight, Republican man who is married. I think marriage should be as the dictionary defines it:
marriage |ˈmarij| |ˌmɛrɪdʒ| |ˌmarɪdʒ|
noun

1 - the formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife.

But I don't think we need an amendment to my beloved Constitution. Where am I wrong?

Because I just don't get it. If gay people want to get married, fine, just stop telling me about your sex life. I don't tell you about mine. I don't have parades or do anything else in public that relates to my sex life and if you want me to respect you, stop talking about it and get on with it (so to speak).
