Terri Updates that are Must Reads...

Micheal Schiavo on Larry King admits, "We didn't know what Terri wanted, but this is what we want..." Hmmm. That sounds like this whole deal needs to be reviewed, no?

Michael Schiavo: NO VISITORS PERIOD! Not even her Mom and Dad. That shows how compassionate this jerk is, no? Post updated that the parents are being allowed to see their daughter, good. But the very fact that he did block them says volumes.

Nurse: Terri Can Eat Normally. A snippet:
...A certified nursing assistant who cared for Terri Schiavo in 1997 filed a sworn affidavit in the case stating that she was able to feed Schiavo normally on multiple occasions - but that husband Michael Schiavo would allow only a feeding tube...

Doesn't sound like PVS to me, but what do I know.

Update:

But the House Dems are being the only thing Dems seem to able to be these days, obstructionist:
... A bill aimed at prolonging the severely brain-damaged woman's life was delayed in Washington when House Democrats blocked a voice vote, forcing Republicans to scramble on Palm Sunday for a quorum of 218 members. A roll call vote could be held as early as 12:01 a.m. Monday, House leaders said...

Update II:

Update III: A guest blogger at Roger L. Simon's site makes some excellent points about Terri and her situation.

Update IV: I am watching C-SPAN and when there is a vote you will see the results right here.

Update V: I am moving this to the top temporarily (scroll for newer posts). I watched the entire debate tonight in the House. I still feel that we need to determine Terri's condition via an independent source or sources. Whatever that investigation finds, I will except. But until that is done, I will not feel Terri has been given what all of us deserve, the right to choose how we live or die in a similar situation. Here we go at 2220 MST, the vote has been called.

Update VI (2235 MST): If I am reading the vote right, it has passed. It is not official yet, but I think it passed.

Now it is official. It did pass.

Update VII (2258 MST): Paul at Wizbang makes an interesting point, but so does Allah in the first comment. Hmmm.

Update to this update: Now one of my favorite bloggers, Jeff Harrell is commenting here and at Wizbang. Cool.

Jeff now has a post on the subject. Go read it.

Update VIII (2328 MST): Heard on CNN, President Bush has signed the bill. It is now law. Do you think he signed it in his pajamas? Heh.

Here is the AP story.
