I always miss the good Storms...

If you have ever lived in the desert you know that storms can hit you and not your neighbor. They can be very spotty. Today at about 1500 wifey called me and asked if we (meaning me at work) were getting "hit by the storm." I told her that it had rained hard awhile ago. She said they were really "getting it" at home. Hail, wind, lighting, in general, a big storm. When she called, 30 miles away, at work, it was sunny. I could see the storm she was talking about, it looked pretty dark up north. About two hours later when I got home I saw what the storm had done:

The "dry" wash was not dry.

The roads were covered with leaves from every tree in my neighborhood.
(The image does not show it, but trust me, it was covered.)

The leaves you see on the ground were on that tree this morning. Notice the lamp?

That bush also had leaves this morning.

Even two hours later there were still signs of the hail.

I guess the SPC was right to put us under a general watch today. I hope we get more tomorrow. I love summer storms.
