Another strong Pacific quake...


 


Still probably too deep to cause problems:

A strong earthquake occurred at 03:34:25 (UTC) on Saturday, February 5, 2005. The magnitude 6.6 event has been located in the ANATAHAN REG., NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS. The hypocentral depth was estimated to be 138 km (85 miles). (This event has been reviewed by a seismologist.)


35 km (25 miles) SSE of Anatahan, Northern Mariana Islands
95 km (55 miles) N of SAIPAN, Northern Mariana Islands
215 km (135 miles) NNE of Rota, Northern Mariana Islands
305 km (190 miles) NNE of HAGATNA, Guam
