You have heard about the Zawahiri letter. Well, Chad has a very interesting analysis of it that you should read.

Update II: Varifrank is looking through the letter also. In fact, he is sorta live-blogging it. Very interesting.

Update III: Varifrank is researching and now seems to question the validity of the letter or at least the timing of it, based on Double Toothpick's metadata and the word 'Nawwar.' Just scroll. Even more interesting.

Jihad Watch adds the State Departments take. Apparently State believes the letter is real. I guess the question becomes, when was it sent? Or maybe, how long did it take to get to Iraq? If it is real and took about a year, that speaks volumes.
