We Need Your Help...

...tomorrow. My regular reader know that I have participated in Take Back the Corner a number of times. It has been great, but tomorrow we need numbers:
The "peace" supporters of Tucson will be out in full force for a march and rally at the Recruiting center on Speedway. The last time this happened, their "peace" rally turned violent and threats were made against a goldstar father who was asked by the Marines to be there. This was last year.

This year, we need to get out there in force, as such we are joining forces with freerepblic.net (freepers), americanprotest.net and the Tucson Republicans to defend the recruiting office from the trashing and vandalism that happened last year. We have the cooperation of the military, the Tucson Police Department and the property owner to counter-protest and hold our ground...

Step up and lets make our voices be heard.

I know some of my readers are right here in Tucson and you should come join us. I also know that many of my other readers are elsewhere in Arizona and you should come join us. It will be worth your time because here is what the other side has planned:
Dear Fellow Supporters,

This morning was a small taste of what we can expect this Saturday at the Recruiters'. The other side was there in much larger numbers than usual, plus they were very vociferous and venemous! They had the media (KUAT Channel 6) there this morning, and as usual, were eager to show off for them. They are truly gearing up for this weekend; in fact, they supposedly have three days of demonstrations planned for the observance of the 3rd anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq war. Here is a copy of what they have on one of their websites:

Tucson Peace Actions March 18 & 20 by Blockade the Warmakers Wednesday March 08, 2006 at 04:58 PM Citizen's Weapons Blockade March 20 at Raytheon Missiles Systems, Tucson

(Speedway east of Campbel)l for picketing and further action.

(see it for yourself at arizona.indymedia.org.... no www in front of it!)

Only the part in red is what concerns us, but I included the other so you could see that they are planning acts of "nonviolent civil resistance" and they are well-funded....offering a free bus ride from 4th Ave. down to the Raytheon facilities. Please read carefully what they are planning for the recruiting offices on Saturday...."picketing and further action" .... whatever that means. We have a plan on how to deal with them, but we need many, many people with us. I know that this is a busy time for many of you, but this is crucial. We must not let these people go un-answered! They must see that!

There are many of us that are willing to stand up and be counted on the side of doing what is right and needed for the protection and preservation of this Country! Please plan on joining us. We are THE ONLY ONES that will be allowed on the property. The police will be there to make sure that the other side does not come onto the property. We have been given permission to decorate the outside of the building (the 2nd floor balcony, mostly) with flags, bunting, ribbons and balloons, which we will do very early that morning. We will try to have a loud-speaker sound system so we can have patriotic/inspirational music for the duration, and have some "cheerleading" for our country and our troops. We will be there rain or shine!

Please plan on being there by 10 a.m. (except those of you who would like to help in the decorating....be there by 8) and plan on being there until 1 p.m. or so. We are allowed to park on the premises, but if the parking lot gets full, you may need to park north of Speedway on Wilson; however, that may be the side that the anti's are on, so you may be better off parking one block east on Norton to protect your car. There is very limited parking on Wilson, south of Speedway because they recently made the street a "permit only" parking area where the houses begin. We will have plenty of water available!

I will again remind you of what many of our returning Iraqi War Veterans have said....we cannot lose this war militarily....but we can lose it here in our very own country! COME AND SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION AND SUPPORT FOR OUR COUNTRY, OUR FREEDOMS, OUR TROOPS, THEIR MISSION AND THEIR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF!

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN JOINING US. We need to see many of the wonderful Veterans who have joined us before! SEE YOU ON SATURDAY!!!

Pat

p.s. I have ordered the "INFIDEL" T-shirts and those of you who put in your order will have them that morning. There will be a very limited number of extra ones available on Saturday, and I will probably have more available by next Wednesday.

Remember....this is a great opportunity for those of you who can't come on Wednesdays, don't pass it up!

Also, I will have a limited number of signs and flags available, but if you could bring your own, that would be fantastic! (Write me if you need ideas on what to say. Keep it simple and easy to read for the cars driving by.) Wear red, white and blue if you don't plan on getting a t-shirt.

So YOU need to come join us @ 2302 E Speedway, Tucson, AZ, 85719, tomorrow at 1000:

One more thing, we are there to support positively, as Pat says:
Dear Supporters of the Troops!
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY AND HAPPY FRIDAY!

Our support rally is TOMORROW, SATURDAY, MARCH 18!

I'd like to share with you some considerations and instructions about the rally.

First, please constantly keep in mind that we are there for a SUPPORT RALLY. We are going to keep it completely friendly and up-beat. The police have been notified in writing that we have the owner's permission to be on the premises and to use the premises as we need...Mr. Singer told me we have "Carte Blanche". He did ask me to have consideration for his tenants but we believe most of them will not be present tomorrow morning. We know for a fact that the military recruiters have been instructed to stay away. I have also checked with some of the other businesses there and most are not open on Saturday. I will check with any that might be open as to what we can do to facilitate their entrance and exit from their business.

We will conduct ourselves in a completely friendly and happy, respectful and lawful manner! We are there to show our strong support for our heroes and that is what we will do. We are not there for any type of conflict or confrontation. Our mere jolly presence will be irritating enough to the other side. We WILL REMAIN POSITIVE at all times and avoid any type of conflict. Here are some instructions I want everyone to keep in mind:

1. SMILE!
2. DO NOT ANSWER OR YELL AT ANYONE AT ANY TIME.
3. Someone gives you a middle finger salute?....Give him a thumbs up or a military salute back....with a SMILE! (I use the military salute and a smile on Wed's and it works great!)
4. CHALLENGED in any way? Back away with a SMILE!
5. THANK the police who are there to maintain the peace.
6. SMILE, SMILE, SMILE!!!! (Bob says to remember to brush your teeth for all this smiling!)

To help with any possible contingencies I would ask all of you to have on your person as many as possible of the following:

1. A cell phone.
2. A camera...preferably digital, and preferably video....but even a disposable will do.
3. A whistle. (We may have some extra on hand)
4. A small notepad and pencil....to write down any instructions from the police (for documentation)and take notes on anything you may need to remember later.
5. A set of walkie-talkies....we will be bringing a total of 3 sets so far and will have them all tuned to the same channel.
6. Bring SUPPORT POSTERS and flags!
7. Wear red, white and blue

Again, we will remain positive at all times. We are there to show our support for the troops, not to protest anything or anyone. Please remember this and keep smiling all of the time. We will have wonderful, inspiring patriotic music playing and be cheering for our military heroes.

All of these instructions and encouragements are for our own good and protection, and for THE GOOD OF OUR CAUSE!!! There would be no better story for the media and the anti people to have than that of a confrontation or problem, especially with our group!

See ALL of you tomorrow for a wonderful RALLY IN SUPPORT OF OUR TROOPS AND THEIR MISSION!!!

Love, Pat

See you there...
