Water is dangerous!

Finally a sad but nevertheless interesting curiosity that has nothing to do with the strike. And of course it happened in the glorious US ;-)

This stupid guy (21-year-old Braylon Curry, student of economics at the Southern Methodist University) drank such an amount of normal, clear water in the course of a drinking game, that he fell into a coma!
"The Daily Campus" reported that the unknown mass of water critically lowered the concentration of blood sodium and caused lung edema.
American student-connections enjoy a doubtable fame thanks to their bizarre initiation rituals, so-called Hazings. Just last friday, hours before the incident, a university commision issued new Anti-Hazing rules.
The "brotherhood" Alpha Phi Alpha in Dallas (Texas) has been temporarily suspended after it had just regained admission after the 2000 suspension.

Well, I better keep quiet... I didn't know that this could happen from too much water... I might have considered doing something that easy and harmless looking, too... on the other hand, the biggest amount I drank at once was 0.75 L of fruit juice, and I felt ill afterwards. (It was before the cinema, and we weren't allowed to take it in, so I would have had to throw it away right after I bought it - no way!). I wonder how much he drank... 3 Liters maybe?
