BALINESE NEW YEAR
NYEPI the day of rest.
Sunday is NYEPI, Balinese new year on the Hindu
calendar. It celebrates with a big party and gives Gods a rest with staying in
the house all day, without turning any lights on. The whole Bali is silent there
are no people on the streets for 24 hours, there are no lights. And no surfing
of course.
