DPGUI For DarwinPorts
By now, most computer geeks must have heard that
yesterday Apple announced April 29, 2005 as the release
date for Mac OS
X 10.4 Tiger. Also announced yesterday was, DPGUI , a suite of GUI applications for DarwinPorts, developed by Kevin Walzer and Lori
Jareo of WordTech Software.
DPGUI consists of two applications, PortBase for downloading,
installing, updating DarwinPorts, and PortView for managing your installation of
DarwinPorts software ports. I usually prefer to manage DarwinPorts from the
command line, but since DPGUI is so well designed, I think I'll find myself
using it quite a bit over time.
