This home theater was the design center of our basement remodel. Hawk Construction took our design and added touches such as the soffit and arched cornice above the screen. The wall covering was added by a specialist. We did the painting. Click each picture for a larger view. The colors are not completely accurate given the lighting but you can get the idea. The theater features a 100" screen, a Sharp projector with Cygnus depixelation filter, B&W speakers, Denon receiver, Sony DVD, RCA DirecTV including 5.1 sound, Definitive subwoofer, and a big frickin Class A SAE amplifier I am still hooked to. |

Two rows of couches are provided including the fully vegematic couch in front with individual recliner sides. The curtains in the rear corner hide a tape/DVD storage alcove. |

Another view of the front. The side walls feature columns and the side and rear walls are covered with a substance called "JaDecor". (See the closeup below). All equipment is accessible from the rear in another room. |

All the sconce lighting is remotely controlled, of course :) , with a Lutron controller . |

Here's a close-up of the JaDecor. It is a fabric/adhesive mix that is both cool looking and has sound absorption properties. |

Upstairs, we have a Mitsubishi 55" HDTV for day-to-day TV viewing. It is fed by a Mitsubishi HD DirecTV box and Mits S-VHS VCR through an external iScan Pro line doubler. Sound is played through a Yamaha YHT-34 DD/dts home theater sound system. |
