Steve & Jeff's Ride, "Whine and Dine Sorta Mellow Ride"

Wed, 2005 Whine and Dine Mellow-Mellow
5:00 PM ish 12-20 mi, 3-6 (yes that is six) M Billy Goat

This ride will be led at a real M pace, not even a little faster. My philosophy about this ride is that we have a short amount of time on Earth, so why not stop and smell the roses. Usually expect at least 4 regroups and nobody to be left behind. We will eventually do most of the goats in the Los Gatos area, just not too many at a time. We may do the same goat as Tyler's WnD ride. Both rides are social. We will do some easy sixes, and may try some harder fives. Route sheets provided on-line at the website and at the ride. Meet at Summit Bikes on Main Street in Los Gatos, across the street from the Los Gatos Library. Rain or intense heat cancels. Burritos after. Be there around five-ish (I get off work at 5,) we roll around then.

October 12 Finale Ride (again), "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of a hat." Kennedy, Shannon and a goofy moose This is the traditional first and last whine and dine ride of the regular season. It is a nice ride with some climbing both up and over Kennedy and Shannon. The climbs are not bad and it ends with a descent into Los Gatos. If you have lights, or a tail light, it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring them, but I don't think we will need them. Bring your appetites and maybe a bottle of wine for sharing after the ride!
October 5, (Special thanks to Tim Gathercole and Dave Rossow for leading this ride) "Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth." -John F. Kennedy, Shannon/Kennedy and half Hicks, other half Hicks and/or Loma Almaden Optional, 3M, (5 and 6 M optional), a good ride with a very hard option! Note the route sheet lists the climb to the top of Hicks but this days ride turns around at the switchback where the hard climb starts with the rest of Hicks as an option. If you want to do the option be prepared for a longer and a a challenging ride.
September 28, A man bites into a dry peach and says "This peach is not good;" the peach replies "It is not my fault that you don't know the proper use for a dry peach." ~ Tori Amos, (From her book "Piece by Piece"), Route Sheet: Cañon-Peach Hill <Medium Version> This is a very nice ride that winds through Los Gatos and Monte Sereno. It goes on some very pleasant streets that are not heavily traveled. It is one of my favorites. You won't believe you are so close to such a populated area. Bring your appetites and maybe a bottle of wine for sharing after the ride!
September 21, "Fear not the path of truth, for the lack of people walking on it," Robert Kennedy, Shannon/Kennedy and half Hicks, other half Hicks Optional, 3LM, (5 and 6 M optional), a good ride with a very hard option! Note the route sheet lists the climb to the top of Hicks but this days ride turns around at the switchback where the hard climb starts with the rest of Hicks as an option. If you want to do the option be prepared for a longer and a a challenging ride. We will not be there for the option, so plan to do it with a buddy!

Meet at Summit Bikes!

Meet at Summit Bikes on Main Street in Los Gatos, across the street from the Los Gatos Library. This is a social ride and riders are encouraged to ride as a group. Bring the usual supplies. Rain cancels. Dinner after! Nobody left behind.
