The developer's conference for the rest of us...

While my buddy Bob Scoble is slaving away at PDC I am having a blast at the other developer's conference. The O'Reilly Mac OS X Conference.

Last nights talk by Srinidhi Varadarajan, Ph.D . was awe inspiring. What they accomplished at Virginia Tech is a real example of what can be done. They built the worlds third largest super-computer, a cluster of 1100 Mac G5's running Mac OS X, in about 6 months!
The conference came the week after the release of Panther. This is my second time and there are a lot more people here than last time. Maybe this is a sign of more interest in the platform, more strength in the economy, or both.
I have learned a lot and have really enjoyed the experience.
