Live, from MacWorld

Abstract: I am the Microsoft booth at MacWorld 2004 waiting for a product demo of Office 2004. I asked Andy Ruff of MSFT to be added to the beta test. This is a really important product for us as we have been having real problems with Exchange functionality with Entourage.

Exchange functionality was added on a recent rev of Entourage v.X. But, the v.X version, has not been a stable product for us. It crashes on me about once a day. It does not integrate with the address book functionality of Exchange well. It hooks into the address book of an Exchange server as though it were a foreign directory source. It does not integrate with Apple's address book or work with iSynch at all. The interface has real usability problems. I have begged Microsoft, and suggested to Andy, that what we need was a real Outlook client. Failing that we need a real fix to Entourage. I hope Entourage 2004 is it!

PS - Thanks to whomever left a wide open access point here!
