The ICDA Weston Noble Endowment Concert

On Friday, November 19th, ICDA hosted the Weston Noble Endowment concert at C. Y. Stephens Auditorium on the Iowa State Campus in Ames. This event, which coincided with the All-State Music Festival and the IMEA Convention, served to honor Weston Noble and begin the financial support for an Endowment Fund being established in his name by ICDA.
Three of Iowa's fine collegiate choirs were invited to perform -- the Wartburg College Choir under the direction of Dr. Paul Torkelson, the Kantorei from the University of Iowa under the direction of Dr. Timothy Stalter and the Iowa State Singers from Iowa State University under the direction of Dr. James Rodde. In addition, Iowa-native Simon Estes performed and Weston Noble himself conducted a special concert finale.
This exciting and gala event, celebrating the career of one of Iowa's greatest musical ambassadors and inaugurated financial support that will increase ICDA's outreach to tomorrow's choral musicians.
