Because, Frankly, the Knitting is Kind of Boring

Pictures of ice cream eating instead.

I have been knitting the Hogwarts Sock Exchange sock and I have to tell you, I'm not feeling the Jaywalker love. They're perfectly nice socks and it's a perfectly nice pattern but it's a little. . . repetitive. And the yarn is a little . . um . . . dull. (This seems to be a theme these days). I'm discovering that my favorite patterns are things like Embossed Leaves and Friday Harbor that have like ten or twelve row repeats and you can finish a leaf and feel like you're making progress. And right now, I just want to knit with bright, neon colors. I should just cast on with the Spunky Eclectic and get it out of my system but I want to finish at least one Jaywalker (one more inch and I can work the toe. A different toe, by the way, because Kitchener stitch makes me queasy). So I haven't actually taken a picture of this sock but I will when it's done.

Can I distract you with a pony ride?

Ann pointed out a mistake in the Violet sock pattern: Row five should be : Repeat row 1 (not repeat row 2). I fixed it in the pattern but wanted to point it out, too. Thanks for being my pattern tester, Ann!

Dentist tomorrow--you know what that means! I get to buy yarn!
