Olivia & Ted - Southern Charm Meets Chicago Hipster - September 29, 2006


Olivia and Ted might be two of the coolest people I know. They have a sensibility that is classic yet off beat and were totally great to work with.



Though they live in Chicago now, their wedding was in Nashville at the Riverwood Mansion. I love Nashville and I haven't been back there in 5 years so this was a treat. Besides which, September in Nashville is just beautiful. The weather is perfect, everything is lush and gorgeous, and the people are just the friendliest people you can imagine.

This one of my favorites ceremonies from the year. In Chicago, I don't get to shoot a lot of outdoor ceremonies so when I get one as beautiful as this, I like to really take advantage. Here are some of my favorites from the ceremony...











They had an awesome blue grass band...















The sun flare was fantastic and so much fun to play with...









Another really cool thing that they did was to eat dinner in a private dining room while cocktail hour was in progress. I thought this was a really lovely idea because it gave them some time both eat and be alone together before going to their party.



Olivia & Ted are very into photo-booth photos, so they arranged for an old school photo-booth at the reception. The guests had a blast with it, and filled up the guest book with a ton of great, goofy photos of themselves.










The Maid of Honor gave a really beautiful toast...
