We bought a new house!

You can't believe we moved.

I can't believe we moved.

But, yes, we bought a new house in Bucktown where we will live until we are carried out on stretchers. Or until after kid number two... (at which point we will probably be in stretchers, but I digress).

Before you get into it -- Yes, our old place was great. It was huge. But it was not a suitable permanent location. It has very few windows - the light situation was almost intolerable. It was on the alley where we could hear the alley noise constantly. And besides which it was the largest two bedroom apartment you have ever seen... because of the way it was laid out, there was no room to grow into the space in the long haul.

I will take better photos soon -- these are from my crappy camera phone on the day we closed. We went over and had a carpet picnic (except we have, well, hardwood floors) and celebrated out new home.

It is four bedrooms, a huge living room/great room, windows on all four walls, panorama skyline views from our private roof deck and this view to the west overlooking St. Mary of the Angel's.

Moving in together was big step. But making a home together is even bigger.
