Welcome to Tulsa's American Legion Post No. 1

To the Legion Family:

The month of September was a good month for both new and renewal memberships.  We were at 55% at the mid-month meeting.

A small group of us participated in the 136th Fighter Wing "Welcome Home and Family Day" exercises at the ANG base on the Tulsa International Airport.  Although it rained, we had good attendance at our booth and handed out literature explaining the American Legion and the Veteran's Benefits we offer.  Hopefully we can gain some new members from this and the other similar activities we have planned this year.

Our "Party on the Patio" had an excellent turn-out.  The deck was SRO and everyone enjoyed the music of Wisky Bent, even the children who were present.

Soon, through good teamwork and the generous donation of another member, we will be replacing the carpet on the stage at no cost to Post 1.

The special words of the Month of October is to "Keep the Momentum Going" and "The Great Team Work Flowing".
