Kristan Paolacci
Kristan and I have been an avid scrapbooker in one form or another since my teenage years. One of my greatest treasures are the family history’s and photo albums that have been recorded and kept from previous generations. Even though I never knew my great, great grandmother I have developed a love and respect that is unexplainable because I have been able to read the stories and look at the pictures that she kept. Now, one of my greatest desires in this life is making sure that my story and the story of my family is recorded. I want to tell the story so that one day when my great, great granddaughter reads my story she will feel a connection to me as if she really knows who I was.

I live in the sunny state of Arizona with my husband Don and six amazing children, three boys and three girls ranging in ages from 5-17. As you can imagine I have many precious photo’s to scrap and many important stories to tell. I really try to find a balance between scrapbooking the daily life and events of my family and creating pages that can express my deepest emotions and feelings.

For many years I taught classes and worked at the local scrapbook store. It was my goal to help everyone comprehend the importance of recording your family’s story. Because let’s face it – as moms if we don’t do it – who will? I just know that in 100 years from now I don’t want someone trying to interpret my life and emotions for what they think they were. I want them to be able to connect with me through the pages of my scrapbooks.

Last year when all of my children entered school full time I knew that I needed to find a job that could be based out of my home that would not conflict with raising my family. I met my dear friend Janna who gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. So while my kiddos are in school I spend my days sharing with Arizona scrapbook stores the hottest scrapbooking lines on the market and making sure they have all the newest products on their shelves in order to help teach their customers how to preserve their stories. When I have such a passion for something as important as this it’s not hard to enjoy what I am doing. I am also fortunate enough to work with my mom and sister-in-law in the scrapbooking field. I love the fact that I share my passion with many of my dear friends and because of my job in the scrapbooking field I have met many more friends that have blessed my life in so many ways.
