The Design Team

Rusty Pickle has a team of above and beyond designers who create our product line. These designers are amazingly talented. The Rusty Pickle design team are always on the go, teaching all over the country and at major scrapbook events. Each designer is passionate about what they do and it shows when you meet or attend one of their classes.

There are two things Emily has always loved; babies and taking pictures! Growing up in a large family, Emily found that she loved helping with her younger siblings and would often dress them up for photo shoots! This love of setting up pictures blossomed when her father found her first camera at a garage sale! Emily signed up for photography classes in high school and began taking her camera with her everywhere she went! Emily’s love of photography turned into more than a hobby when she went off to college - spending countless hours in the darkroom and traveling to her Uncle Bob’s nearby farm for interesting subject matter. Since receiving her Associates degree in photography, Emily has been busy shooting weddings, family pictures, and now photos of her own babies!

After meeting Lance and Tasha in 2002, Emily realized that she could use her photos to design and has been thrilled to have another medium in which to use her photography skills.

Designing for and working with Rusty Pickle is the perfect outlet for this busy mother of three young children! Emily, her husband Kurt and Madeline, age 4, Savanna age 2 and Christian 3 months live in Denver. Emily stays busy with her family and never has a shortage of photo opportunities. A usual night of scrap booking includes ice cream, country music, and staying up until the wee hours of the morning! Her husband Kurt is a great support and stays up late with her, making suggestions and critiquing her creations! They are a great team.
