TOO SOON OLD, TOO LATE SMART

Comments on a book by that title.

Procrastinating this morning.
Read email, read e-paper.
Fired up iTunes online store.
Nothing in the music section.
Audiobooks... hmmm....

Well, this is a snappy title, "Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart"
subtitle is "Thirty True Things You Need to Know Now"
Sounds like something to procrastinate with.

1. We are what we do.
2. Any relationship is under the control of the person who cares the least.
3. The perfect is the enemy of the good.
4. Only bad things happen quickly.
5. Forgiveness is a form of letting go, but they are not the same thing.
6. The statute of limitations has expired on most of our childhood traumas.
and....

I guess I'll have to check the book out.
Just that list is a good start.
Gordon Livingston's bio suggests he's learned these the hard way.
And he's helped many others through their personal steep learning curve.

Old dogs might not learn new tricks.
But they can learn new ways to do old ones.
