A lot of nonsense is being written, but this article by Rod Dreher is
well-worth reading.
He makes a point about Mormonism that I have been waiting for someone to make, then he goes on to explain, correctly, that this is not a reason to not vote for Romney (though there ARE other reasons not to!):

A heretic is someone who rejects one or more doctrines of religion, but an apostate is someone who has rejected the religion entirely. How is it, exactly, that you can get mad when people you regard as apostates consider you to be ... apostate? How does that work?
