curiouser and curiouser...

My life seems to be returning to a quasi-normal state, after six weeks of abnormality in which blogging was pitifully light. That should change now, but I haven't been very good about past blogging vows so we'll just have to wait and see (like a good storyteller I'm creating suspense, now my hordes of fans will have to return here regularly to see for themselves!). Among other things I was sicker than I've been in years, even though it was "only" a cold. Didn't even have much in the way of symptoms- mostly just one- I was dead tired pretty much continuously for most of a week (during which I watched all of season 2 of 24!) and not much better for another 5 or 6 days.

Speaking of 24, faithful fans will remember that (A) this is the only TV show I watch, and that (B) my dad recently became engaged.

Non sequiter, you say? My sister just emailed me to inform me that dad's fiance's granddaughter (the only family member who lives near her and thus the one she sees the most) is dating Jack Bauer (OK, Kiefer Sutherland).

I suspect that the odds of this relationship lasting more than "24" hours aren't great, but, if it did, and if he came to dad's wedding, it would be fun to look him in the eye and tell him that if he doesn't turn off his cell phone during the ceremony I'll stick my fist down his throat, rip out his spleen, and refuse to give it back to him until he does.

Did I say something about returning to "normal"?
