Student Projects

On October 12, 2005 the grade one students of Cherryfield Elementary School were joined by fellow grade one students from other SAD 37 schools on an exciting field trip to the Acadia Zoo in Trenton. The trip was a whole lot of fun for both the students and adults who went, and everybody learned a lot about the animals at the zoo.Students saw a variety of animals – everything from ringed tailed lemurs to Maine’s own black bears. Everybody was amazed at the big cats – a rare white Tiger is at the zoo, as well as a “tigon”  - which is a mix between a tiger and lion. Inside the rainforest exhibit exotic reptiles and mammals were on display. Everybody enjoyed interacting with llamas and goats in the petting zoo area.

Watch out for the escaped peahen!!!
