Day 9 Day Nine, the last full day of the Sister City visit, started with shopping and packing, and ended with a grand reception.

The very attractive Assembly Hall of Faith Lutheran Church began filling up. One of the two table displays shows brochures, maps, and photos. The arriving guests began selecting their seats at the well-decorated tables. Another table featured display boards with photos of trips and student visits. The guests, well settled, view travel photos on the screen as they await dinner. Delicious lamb and chicken plus vegetables make for a satisfying and tasty meal. With both sides of the serving table in use, the line moved fast. Earl Rupp joked with his excellent interpreter, Fadime Ozen. Mayor Cahit Toprak of Merzifon and Mayor Chuck Escover of Pleasant Hill. The Durants of Pleasant Hill. College Park HS Principal Dennis Berger, who visited Merzifon, jokes with Fadime Earl and Fadime close out the evening with thanks and appreciation all around.
