Day 8
This day was a busy one. First, City Hall, then the International Education Center, lunch at the Bosphorus, and last, the Golden Gate Bridge.
   

The Merzifon delegation presented the City with a silk Turkish flag.
They presented Mayor Escover with a Turkish kilim.
The PH Mayor gave each of the delegates a warm Pleasant Hill jacket.
The Segway, on loan, was brought out for trials. Mayor Cahit gave it a spin.
Adnan Ucas proved quite adept as he enjoyed a ride.

The IEC gave the two Merzifon high schools a scanner each, bought by a grant.

The Bosphorus Restaurant in Berkeley is a Turkish eatery well worth visiting.
The food is self-service and greatly varied.

We ate all together at a long table beneath a lovely rug.

A walk across the Golden Gate Bridge was one of the highlights of the visit.
