Hotel Frances: delux hurricane accomodation, featuring private rooms, with electric and internet throughout the storm!

Frances headed directly to Highborne! Research station resembles Ft. Knox! Hotel Frances will be our shelter. 3 pm Thurs. pre-hurricane briefing- Instructions to be back at hote by 6 pm Darnell is already moved in! 3 boats in marina: Press on Regardless Arasay Sea Dragon 4.30 Thurs. Wind picking up, east side 4.30 Thurs. dock side, much calmer In the hotel, we have private rooms! Even Mr. Wilson has a bed! We have a delux galley, and head! Activites include dominoes, sitting, thinking, playing cards and more cards! talking on the phone, laughing, sleeping, talking, reading. eating, and playing video games The manager remained ever calm! Hopefully noone is going on a trip.... Three dogs and a cat... enjoyed the run of the hotel and kept us entertained! Plotting positions was top priority! Frances stalled over Hole in the Wall and we were 'pummeled' and 'relentlessly ravaged' for about 36 hrs. But the boats suffered little damage And we enjoyed a family dinner... and a second night in the hotel! Relieved to find little damage on HC! A thankful Sunday dinner in the construction camp!
