MoviesMOVIES

Movies can have considerable impact in forming our perceptions of purpose, identity and reality. The video rental and sales business has provided an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in this highly dynamic media to explore and revisit movies that have contributed to the diversity of our culture. Each movie title in the list below is a link to information about and reviews of that movie posted on amazon.com. I encourage anyone involved with education to start a list (and possibly a collection) of movies they believe are worth discussing.

I like the DVD format better than VHS because of the additional related material included on each DVD and because DVDs are smaller and I can view them on my laptop computer. Good basic information about current movies not yet released on DVD can be found at ScreenIt.Com

PLEASE NOTE: As of January 2009, this list is way out of date. There are LOTS of good movies I would like to add to this list and I will be updating it as soon as I can find a bit more time.
