ANNOUNCING Our Mission Trip for 2009!!!
Simply Smiles - based at CASA HOGAR - Oaxaca, Mexico July 12-19, 2009
Open to 12 people ( high school and adults)
There are 33 families that survive off of what Oaxaca's Garbage Dump can provide. They live and work in what can only be described as
"Hell on Earth."
We will be building houses for the people who live on the fringe of the dump.

The plane fare for the Simply Smiles Mission Trip has been secured at $749 per ticket bringing the total trip cost to $1,484 per person.
Along with our cosponsors, Shepaug High School Spanish Classes, we have submitted a grant to the Connecticut Community Foundation to cover part of the cost. In addition, two scholarships have been offered from within the congregation. We will explore fundraising opportunities to lower this cost over the next few months. In the meantime, there is a $100 deposit due October 31 to guarantee the airline tickets.
If you are interested in participating in the trip please contact Rev. Peters or Monti-Catania soon.
