Turkish day-night
.................. |
| Total eclipse 29.03
Decided to view the eclipse from the sleepy town of Hacibektas, in central Turkey.
On arrival, we headed for what seemed to be the public park, only to discover we'd wandered into the grounds of the local girls' school.
The reception was nothing short of rapturous. We spent the next half an hour being mobbed like movie stars by an excited crowd of 50 schoolgirls.
Enjoyed the eclipse too.

Building on a bunker |
The defensive rather than the golfing variety, we hope.
The good news is that the house is well ahead of schedule and finally has a roof. The bad news is we now have to start paying for it.
We've now given notice on our flat and hope to move in the second week of August. |
