 | This is how some companies finish the top edge of a Woven Wood Panel |
| | | The effect of the edge binding with the velcro sewn on top creates too much bulk. |
|
| | The panels can easily become detached when traversing because the velcro bond is so poor. |
| | | Some companies do not sew the velcro on properly so the velcro will detached after being hung. |
|
| | Our recommended solution is to use 3" edge binding tape. You will notice the woven wood material has masking tape applied to seal the edge. |
| | | The 3" edge binding is only sewn onto the last half inch (12mm) of the woven wood material. |
|
| | The 1" (25mm) Velcro is then sewn onto the remaining flat portion of the edge binding. |
| | | The major advantage of this method is that the velcro bond in now 3 times stronger than if the velcro had been sewn to the material as before. |
|
| | Now the top edge of the panel is slim enough to easily fit on the Panel Carrier. |
| | | This eliminates the possibility for the Panel to easily detatched once installed. |
