This is how some companies finish the top edge of a Woven Wood Panel

P1010017.JPG

The effect of the edge binding with the velcro sewn on top creates too much bulk.

P1010018.JPG

The panels can easily become detached when traversing because the velcro bond is so poor.

P1010020.JPG

Some companies do not sew the velcro on properly so the velcro will detached after being hung.

Our recommended solution is to use 3" edge binding tape. You will notice the woven wood material has masking tape applied to seal the edge.

The 3" edge binding is only sewn onto the last half inch (12mm) of the woven wood material.

The 1" (25mm) Velcro is then sewn onto the remaining flat portion of the edge binding.

The major advantage of this method is that the velcro bond in now 3 times stronger than if the velcro had been sewn to the material as before.

Now the top edge of the panel is slim enough to easily fit on the Panel Carrier.

This eliminates the possibility for the Panel to easily detatched once installed.
