TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I think I would find it a little difficult to describe my teaching philosophy in a few short sentences, I think the most important thing for a teacher to do is to listen to their students. It is only by doing this that we can learn what it is that motivates our students, what learning strategies they favour, and what they want and need to learn.
A teacher should then act as a facilitator, allowing the students, as far as is possible, to discover for themselves how to achieve their goals. I am not the font of all knowledge in my classrooms. All of my students are experts in their own fields, my job is to help them express themselves effectively in English - not to add to or subtract from what they already know.
