dying, hiding, and finding Easter Eggs

Room Mom Melissa McMillin organized and prepared for us an Easter egg hunt on the Good Friday morning before the start of Spring Break vacation

first we got to decorate and dye hard-boiled eggs...

while our eggs dried...
we handcolored a black and white photograph of our visit to the Lady Washington which the teacher had run off on watercolor paper for this purpose...
then we divided into two groups and hid eggs for the other on and around the wood chip area playground apparatus...
...and across the pavement along the grassy embankment
then the two groups switched to hunt for the eggs hidden by the other...

showing off the "spoils" of their search...

and back in the classroom...
