Since the day he could walk, Steven has had a camera in his hands. However, his path to becoming a professional photographer was far from predictable. Growing up with a natural affinity for the worldÕs wild things, Steven first pursued a career as a naturalist. But after graduating with a degree in wildlife biology, Steven realized a new calling. Seeing the world through a set of crop marks. So armed with a degree in advertising from Art Center College Of Design, he embarked on an award-winning career as an art director. He toiled and traveled and worked for a range of clients from big to small. But something was missing and eventually Steven realized a bigger calling for his creativity. So he traded in his title of Associate Creative Director for that of photographer. And now the wheel of life has turned full circle. Because Steven is now able to pursue a creative life that allows him to give back to the wild things and places he loves so much. 10% of profits from the sale of his photographs are donated to conservation groups. His work has become well collected. Pieces now hang in the homes of celebrities, the lobbies of production companies and the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Brunei. Images have been shown in both solo and group exhibitions in addition to publications such as Los Angeles Magazine, Photo District News, B&W Magazine and Communication Arts. Several of his images were also featured in the Will Smith movie, Seven Pounds.
