Astronaut Sally Ride is launching the
ToyChallenge a contest in which middle schoolers will design novel toys.
Astronaut Sally Ride is launching the
ToyChallenge
a contest in which middle schoolers will
design novel toys. The goal is to help students learn to think like engineers by
working on a real design problem relevant to their own interests. Ride also
hopes to get more girls interested in pursuing engineering careers.
The only thing I have against this idea is that no-one came up with it twenty years ago, so I could have won the trip to space camp!
