Bernie Ecclestone sells controlling interest in Formula 1

It appears that Bernie Ecclestone has sold his interest in F1 to CVC Capital Partners.
CVC already owns Dorna (who bring us MotoGP).

They reportedly paid $1 billion for 75% of F1. CVC is setting up a new group called Alpha Prema to run F1 (and Ecclestone received some stake in that company, showing they'll probably be relying on his expertise to run things, at least initially.

They will have their work cut out for them, as some of the manufacturers are talking about starting their own series if they don't get some better terms from F1.
