KEXP abandoning the South Sound

Since I moved up here, my favorite radio station has been Seattle's KEXP. They're a public radio station that's mostly Northwest Music-oriented.
They're on 90.3 FM in Seattle and since 2004, they've simulcasted on 91.7 FM in Tacoma.

At the end of the year, they're going to stop the Tacoma simulcast. Bad news for me because the Seattle station doesn't pull in very good on any of my radios.

They are enlightened enough to stream in various formats on the website: KEXP.org, so I'm set if I'm at home, but I'll have to listen through the static whenever I'm driving around here.

They put out a couple of podcasts, so maybe I'll just make do with taking a couple on the road with me whenver I go anywhere.

They also have a great archive of all the live sessions bands have done for them. One of my favorites was the Morcheeba show, featuring their new singer.

Not known at this time (at least I couldn't find anything about it) is what KXOT 91.7 FM will be playing on January 1.
